Has Pedro been throwing? If someone did sign him now, wouldn't he need at least a month to be ready to join a big league rotation?

Pujols homered twice and Kyle Lohse lasted just long enough for another win after jamming his right knee as the St. Louis Cardinals completed a three-game sweep with a 12-8 victory over the Mets on Thursday.

so how many times do you hear a pop in your knee and not need some kind of surgery? or at the very least a month off?

ask Yovani Gallardo.

or Ryan Harvey.

or Corey Patterson.

or Milton Bradley.

or Rocco Baldelli.

or Lance Berkman.

or Carlos Guillen.

Alright I can't think of any more off the top of my head...

No I'm aware that he injured himself, but nobody has said anything about an ACL yet. That's why I asked if he had heard something or if he was just speculating.

The pop in the knee is generally associated with ACL tears. If it was locked it would be cartilage, slipping would likely be mcl.

This is just dextermorgan trying to make me look bad. That's all he does around here. It's quite pathetic. I'm pretty sure that the fact I said "likely torn ACL" coupled with him "hearing a pop" means I'm connecting the dots and inferring that most likely cause is a torn ACL. Call it speculation if you want. I call it being logical.

My wife's knee pops everytime she bends it. My knee pops with some regularity. It doesn't necessarily mean a thing.

We're not talking about old-man legs that pop while you're walking down the stairs. He heard a pop while he was running and now is feeling discomfort. That screams torn ACL.

That's fine, but we've each had that issue since we were young. A pop isn't necessarily an ACL tear.

There is talk of him throwing off the mound soon for teams that are interested like the Rangers, etc.

If this turned out to be true, oh, darn. It would be just too bad if St. Louis lost a guy who never should've been contributing anything of substance to begin with.

Yeah, I actually just saw that on Rotoworld. Although, they mentioned Washington and Anaheim. I don't see Anaheim doing it though. They have 3 guys on the DL all coming off soon.

Cardinals RHP Kyle Lohse's MRI revealed no structural damage, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

His status will be determined later today, but it appears he will avoid the disabled list. At worst, he many have his next start skipped or pushed back. If so, P.J. Walters or Brad Thompson would be the likely replacement.
