Help me argue with a reasonable Cards fan

Here is what I posted on my Facebook page (a simple statement of fact):

"The Cubs are 43-26 against the Cardinals over the last five years, including 2-1 this season."

 

Here is how my Cards fan friend responded:

"It's true that the Cubs have had the better teams over the past five years, perhaps even in 2006, when the Cardinal's won the World Series. And if you value victories in April over victories in October, then I suppose that bragging rights reside in Wrigley."
