Part of me wishes we could fast forward to next season, I really think we're going to see a much better, more athletic Illini team.

 

Well yeah, that and we'll have Brandon Paul. I just hope Tisdale can develop a sense of toughness in the offseason.

 

12-4 to end the first day. It seems like I always end the first day with that record. Clemson's loss hurt me the most as I had them going to the Elite Eight.

 

Me too about Tisdale, he's very soft, getting pushed around by those WKU midgets. A sense of toughness and strength, although a tall order, is all that's keeping him from being a damn good player.

What was Michigan like this season? All I know about them is that they are a Beilein coached team, so they take a ton of 3s and play a 1-3-1 zone. He gave Sampson's team fits in 2006 when he was with West Virginia.

That pretty much describes them to a T. They're a very hot and cold team, imo.

 

As long as Blake Griffin doesn't somehow get decapitated with piano wire, I think Oklahoma should handle them.

I'm not sure if this is just my UI bias coming through, but I think that may have been the most tightly officiated game in the tourney thus far. So many touch fouls that just haven't been getting called in other games it seemed to me.

 

Regardless, they didn't deserve to win with the lack of energy showed in the 1st half especially. Definitely a better season than I expected, but still frustrating because they do so many dumb things on a regular basis that cost them games.
