BASEBALL!

Even if it is just Cactus League action, welcome to 2009 Cubs baseball everyone!

Spring Training starts with the Cubs and the Dodgers and the start of the battle for starter spot #5 with:

I spent all off-season planning on going the way of the Braves "fan" and not giving a crap unless it's the second week of October and we're still around. Looks like I'll fall short of my goal. Again.

Bring on baseball season :(

Somehow, 720 WGN comes in clearer in SE South Dakota where I live now, than it does where I grew up in Eastern Iowa. It's weird, but I don't care. Go Cubs!

MLB Network has a game on from 2-5 according to my sched...but it doesn't say who's playing. Anyone know if we have a shot?

Well I believe most/all Cactus League games start at 2 CST, so it could be any game played in Arizona that day.

Aramis Ramirez, Alfonso Soriano, Reed Johnson and Milton Bradley will start on Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers. Both games will be played at HoHoKam Park.

Anyone who isn't jonesing to hear Pat proclaim that Chicago Cubs baseball is on the air did a better job weathering the long winter than I.

I'll try to listen to the first couple innings before class, but I really cant say that I'm excited yet. I'd normally be pumped like crazy for today's game, decked out in cubs gear, and finding a way to listen to the whole thing; but I just don't feel it this year. Maybe once a couple of these games go by I will, but eh. Stupid 2008 cubs broke my spirit. Jerks.

I really didn't have that excitement I've had the last 2-3 years going into today, but this morning it hit me and now I am pumped. Only got one class today, an exam at 9, and then it's Cubbie time. CHICAGO CUBS BASEBALL IS ON THE AIR!!!

Anyway to listen online?

I'm sure WGN Radio online will have the game. I believe since it's spring training, they will be able to broadcast it. If not, I'm sure MLB.com will broadcast spring games for free (hopefully).

Any word on a lineup today?
