Goony... DAVE KAPLAN

Was it Dave Kaplan??

Kaplan's is the smarmy host who points with his finger a lot and thinks Reed Johnson should be the everyday leadoff hitter playing center.

yes, he's a moron

The o-line will benefit from Cutler & Forte. If you can't block for them you simply can't play

Put this above Garza's locker. Im already getting a little iritated reading stuff about the oline and nothing about a competition at RG. Lovie mentioned he was excited about the Beekman/Omayle competition at LG, how bout RG damnit. I know its early so im not trying to get to worked up about this.

I read something from some guy that used some formula for rating offensive lineman some time ago and according to him, Garza was one of the top 5 guards in the league last year.

I'm still not a big fan, but apparantly only fans think he's a mediocre lineman.

Thanks.

Yeah from that...

"Turner says might use Forte & K Jones in backfield together."

Both guys are good at catching passes out of the backfield and they have motioned Forte outside as a WR last year too. Flexibility.

Sounds like the local reporters are having fun watching Marinelli work with the d-line.

ZachZaidman: Marinelli preaching violent hand punches with lead hand

BradBiggs: Marinelli's workout for the linemen is as advertised. He is grinding on the linemen

BradBiggs: Marinelli to dvoracek on a move to string out a run play: "oh, I like that. Great with your hands." He's stressing every small detail.

ZachZaidman: Marinelli currently working on hip placement with tackles. He's communicating with silent hand signals

Cutler deep ball to hester, crowd goes wild

Olsen just made great diving catch off Cutler bomb. He split Roach and Steltz on coverage

oh sexy.

I think Olsen is making the leap to amongst the elite level of TEs this year (by that I mean top 5 receiving TE in the game). He was already pushing that level after last year but this year it will be clear.

Sounds absolutely insane down there. 6,000 on a Friday?

I'm heading down tomorrow morning. That night practice is going to be pure bedlam. Wow.

I can really only get there 2 hours before. Any more than that, forget it. I can't sit around waiting for 3 hours in a parking lot with no bathrooms and hot Sun.

Bowman has already become Corey Graham from a year ago. Graham capitalized on a good offseason and then produced when Charles Tillman missed time in training camp. The more Bowman impresses, the tougher it will become for Graham to get a look. At some point you would figure secondary coach Jon Hoke will want to get a look at him though.

The first practice of training camp starts this afternoon but there's already been some movement.

The Bears waived linebacker Joey LaRocque, a contributor on special teams last year as a rookie. The seventh-round draft pick from Oregon State battled injury during organized team activities.

In essence, this means the Bears are likely to keep both Nick Roach and Hunter Hillenmeyer although both have fallen down the depth chart in the linebacker rotation. The Bears will need them on special teams.

I don't know if I like this move, especially this early. I'd rather keep the younger, more athletic Laroque around even though he had very little chance of contributing outside of special teams. However, I don't think this means Hillenmeyer is safe. You still have Roach, Freeman, and Williams as backup LBs. All 3 are more athletic than Hilly at this stage in all their careers. All 3 are probably going to be better special teamers than Hunter also, as that has never been his forte. I think the Bears may still keep 7 LBs though, as they did last year, so maybe that means a guy like Mike Rivera has stepped up.

The Pro Bowl quarterback operated an offense that rebounded from a shaky start. After fumbling the snap on the first play of 11-on-11 drills, Cutler displayed his strong, accurate arm in rifling completions to Devin Hester over the middle and Earl Bennett in the left flat and along the left sideline.

Is there any doubt who was at the root of this problem that Grossman took so much crap for?
