No cause that requires the Big XII to actually play defense. And we all know that atleast this yr the Big XII is allergic to playing defense. Which in a way I couldn't vote for McCoy as Heisman because we don't how good he is until he faces a defense that punches him in the mouth. I am joking here, but I say just give the Heisman Trophy to Darren McFadden, the NCAA owes him one.

It seems like 90% of that 90% are thrown a maximum 4 yards past scrimmage. I don't know why anyone would telegraph a blitz against him, he just immediately slings it to Cosby and gets 5-6 yards.

Damnnnnn, SIU got a hail mary from midfield as time expired to beat Missouri State 23-17. The win puts us at 5-2 overall and more importantly, 4-1 in the MVC with 4 games left including three home games and a road game against Illinois State to finish off the slate.

 

Our defense is outstanding, but this team doesn't hold a jock to what we had last year. Yet we could and should actually win the conference this year where we didn't last year. Sports are messed up.

This game reminds me of the 1999 National Championship game, where VT players suffered 3 major injuries before the end of 3Q and FSU ran away with it. Except we don't have anywhere close to as good of a team as we had back then.

Yes Charlie is really winning big with his own players.

 

3-9 last year while Ty went 4-9. 4-2 this year with the wins coming against teams with a combined 9-20 record, every one of them at home. Oh and that SDSU team they beat by 8 has been outscored in MWC play 146-24.

 

Meanwhile, the worst team Washington has played is Stanford whom they lost to by 7. The same Stanford that ND beat by 7. They were hosed out of a chance to beat BYU who may be better than anyone ND has played.

 

Yes Charlie is proving he can beat up on nobodies at home while Ty is getting beaten up by a very tough schedule and by far his best player missing the last two games.

Charlie went 3-9 last year against a schedule with 10 bowl teams on it and with virtually no upperclassmen worth a crap on the roster (thanks to Ty's 'recruiting') and Ty went 4-9 in an absolutely horrible Pac-10. I can play the schedule game too. And ND dominated the game against Stanford and led 28-7 until they took their feet off the gas, and it bugs the hell out of me because Charlie does that all the time. (And I'm not making excuses for the 3-9 season, Charlie did a LOT wrong last year. I'm just saying a lot of circumstances contributed to it, not just him.)

 

Ball State easily disposes of Eastern Michigan 38-16 to go to 8-0. Will probably move up a couple more spots depending on other results today.

As a USC fan, I'm going to need ND and Virginia to keep it up and help out our computer rankings.

 

I can't believe UVA is in the mix for the ACC title. They looked Washington State level awful the first few weeks of the season.

This game was an exception not the rule. Even in the SEC, we can play "Big XII" quality offense. And this game goes to show if the SEC wants to be offensive, they can get offensive. The defensive sucked in this game (and two weeks ago for LSU against Florida), but defense in the Big XII have sucked ALL year.
