To the faculty, staff, and students of Texas A&M University –

 

Lately our football team has fallen on some rough times, but that is to be expected with a new coach. As Coach Sherman said in today's Battalion the team needs the 12th man now more than ever. However, here at Texas A&M we pride ourselves on not only having a great homefield advantage, but being some of the nations classiest fans and staying within the outlines of good sportsmanship.

 

There is a rumor of a plan being formed to dispense mirrors throughout the student section in an effort to create a "solar beam" of sorts to interfere with play on the field. This is not only illegal, but potentially hazardous to the players on the field. In case you hadn't noticed so far this season, we will have players on the field as well. Though we appreciate the power of the 12th man, we will be forced to remove anyone from the stands who is attempting to bend light in a advantageous manner.

I'm hoping PSU/UM is just another blow out. I keep bracing for a let down game, but they don't seem to have one in them (yet).

 

I'm actually pretty confident they'll beat Michigan and Ohio State, but am concerned that they'll somehow screw the pooch against one of Iowa, Indiana or Michigan St.

I understand what Holtz was trying to say, and like Nick Saban comparing a loss to September 11, it was uncall for. Do I think Holtz should be fired....no, should he be kept off the air for awhile....yes.

I'll never forget the one he did last year for LSU. He had a newspaper with a headline on it and he tore it to pieces, and then by the end he had done a magic trick making it whole again. He said something to the effect of "Now I bet you're wondering how I did that. I have no idea how I did that, I wake up screaming in the middle of the night wondering how I did that."

 

Maybe the most entertaining thing I saw last college football season.

Tech plays exciting games every week if your not a big fan of defense :-). They are fun to watch, but have been exposed now for 6 straight quarters. Right now I think they will finish 4th in the Big XII south. A&M is a really bad team this year, maybe the worst in the South.
