The Tim Thomas era in Chicago is reborn!

I wonder if we Tim Thomas Tim Thomas.

Bulls roster is now...

Rose/Hinrich/Hunter

Gordon/Sefolosha/Roberson

Deng/Salmons

Ty Thomas/Tim Thomas

Miller/Noah/Gray/James(Inj)

James and Roberson are your inactives, unless the Bulls decide to Tim Thomas Tim Thomas.

Also don't forget what a stud Tim Thomas was in Phoenix, probably one of their top 5 players ever. That is why they were holding on giving us Amare, they needed us to get Tim Thomas to go with Tyrus Thomas, and the deal should now be sealed.

Not sure if I'm late to the game on this, but did anyone else read that Chris Bosh's #1 choice in 2010 is Chicago?

Sweet

Late to the game, but worth mentioning again.

I bet we trade for Bosh at next year's trade deadline.

Ironic that last time Thomas was here I was upset that he wouldn't grace us with his presence.

This time around, I hope he doesn't.

Would have been better off trading Hughes for a 2nd round pick.

Salaries have to match in the NBA.

I know they do. I'm just saying.

Thabo traded to OKC for either the Nuggets' or Suns' first round pick. Which ever is worse.

Is it clear whether "worse" means whichever team has the worse record or whichever team is picking further down in the draft?

Whichever pick is lower. Likely the Nuggets pick.

After doing some digging, OKC doesn't have Phoenix's first round pick this year...

Thunder

Credits:

• Oklahoma City receives Phoenix's 2010 1st round pick (fully unprotected). Kurt Thomas salary dump trade.

• Oklahoma City receives San Antonio's 2009 first round pick (top-15 protected in 2009, top-10 protected in 2010) as part of the Kurt Thomas trade.

• Oklahoma City receives Denver's 2009 1st round pick, top-20 protected in 2009, top-15 protected in 2010, top-10 protected in 2011 (Johan Petro trade).

Debits:

• Phoenix will receive a conditional 2010 second-round pick from Oklahoma City (Kurt Thomas salary dump).

• Denver receives Oklahoma City's 2009 second round pick (Johan Petro trade).

I'm confused as to what the Bulls got in this trade.

Well I kind of liked Thabo, but he definitely was going to be blocked with Salmons.

Also, this gives us a player who will be cheap in 2010, or another chip for a big trade with all of our expiring deals. Paxson is definitely setting us up for the big home run, whether it be through trade or free agency.

Kirk needs to be moved, but if we haven't heard anything now, I don't think it will be until the off season. But thats okay, I'm pretty confident we will still be able to do it then.

Getting a 1st rounder of any type for Thabo is a pretty good pickup. It's unlikely we'll get someone great, but there's always the chance of stumbling on a contributor in the late first round.

Hinrich, 2 1st round picks, expiring deals for Amare or Bosh over the summer? Or Hinrich in a separate deal for parts to use in a trade for one of those guys? T2 or Noah included in there somewhere too maybe?
