They were going to lose to the Magic too.

Yeah but I felt good about winning a game or less likely 2 against Orlando.

The Celtics are a miserable matchup for the Bulls. Since the Celtics got KG and Allen, the Bulls have gone 1-6 against Boston. The one win was when KG was out of the lineup and the Bulls were playing their best basketball of the season. The average Bulls-Celtics score since the Big 3 arrived is 107-89 with an average margin of victory being 18 points.

And that's regular season Celtics. Wait until we see the "playoff intensity" Celtics. Sure KG might not be 100%, but that might not matter.

We won't get swept, but lose in 5 will prolly be the most likely scenerio. I am looking forward to Rose abusing Rondo all series long.

[expletive] the bulls. i want them to lose by 40 every game to the celts. same [expletive] they did a few years ago against new jersey. [expletive]

Awesome...someone feels the same way as me. I won't go as far as to say I hope they lose the games, but they certainly deserve to and I will probably derive some sort of weird pleasure from seeing them getting slaughtered.

I guess that makes sense.

I do not feel the same way. Losing to an inferior team like NJ a few yrs ago sucked, but Toronto was a much better team then their record suggests. The fact that they took 3 of 4 from the Bulls this yr should tell you that they played the Bulls very tough this yr.

If Calderon was healthy the whole season, they would've easily been in playoff contention.

The loss to the Raptors is already out of my mind. That New Jersey loss lingered with me for a few days until we pounded the Heat in Game 1 of the first round on a Saturday.

That New Jersey team made the playoffs and even advanced to the second round. How are they worse than this years Toronto team. Oh BTW, the team NJ beat in the first round was none other than Toronto, with many of the same players.

True. That NJ game was on the road too, wasn't it? The way this team was playing at home, particularly lately, made this a very dissapointing loss. I don't actually want them to lose, but I'm just pissed at the way they played. Seriously Brad Miller, why are you shooting 3s in the fourth quarter?

EDIT: And I just looked it up and NJ won 3 of 4 from the Bulls that year. So yeah, it pretty much was the same.

I've calmed down/sobered up. Go Bulls!

I was really disappointed by the defensive effort in the first half against Toronto.

I didn't watch much of the second half, but still, its pretty inexcusable to drop this one when you had the 6th seed in front of you and you are playing at home.

Whatever.

In about a week and a half, we'll be talking offseason.

It was a nice little run by the Bulls at the end of the year, but ultimately we aren't where we need to be yet. This upcoming series with the Celtics will almost certainly illustrate that, in crystal clear fashion.

I suppose you can always hope for a miracle.

Was there anything more predictable than this team losing after the entire media and some players were out talking about the matchup with Orlando? Why would anybody have assumed a victory by the Bulls?

Holy crap, I just saw that.

Wow.

We might have a fighting chance without KG in the middle.

Were still gonna lose without kg. Just in 5 games instead of 4. Celts are still a superior defensve team. Sucks for the celts title defense though.

The celtics were 18-8 with out garnett this year with wins over teamsvlike Cleveland, San antonio, and Denver. In the bulls last 26 games, their best stretch of basketball this year, they went 16-10.

But that team had defense, and you can't discount that. All of the recent Bulls playoff teams have peaked at the end. Skiles got them at their peak toward the end of the season year after year. I wish the Bulls had him.

If the Bulls still had Skiles, you wouldn't have seen the development from Tyrus and Noah and Derrick Rose probably wouldn't have been given nearly as much playing time, especially if a Hinrich injury wouldn't have taken the decision out of his hands. Skiles is a big part of the reason Tyrus's development was stunted in his first two years. I feel strongly about this.

I liked him while he was here but he definitely has his warts.

But the team would be playing defense, hence they would be a better team.

Not developing Tyrus and Noah and Derrick Rose getting less playing time this year would not be good for this team, regardless of whether or not the team might be better now.

The KG thing disappoints me for many reasons. First of all, they wont get past Orlando without KG. No way. No way possible. I honestly think Chicago will take 2. I'd be surprised if they don't.

Secondly, a friend at work is a HUGE Boston fan. We made a bet about who would get further in the playoffs and the bet hinged on Garnett's health. There goes $50. Not to mention that if the Cavs win a championship, he'll have a cheap out.

And lastly, I feel much better about the Cavs facing a healthy Boston in the ECF than a healthy Orlando. :(

Agreed.

Even when the Bulls were playing defense, they only made it past the first rd once and that was because the Heat was pretty much depleted. So it's debateable as to which Bulls team is better: the team that played defense or the team that has allowed Thomas/Noah and Rose to developed. To be honest every yr Noah and Thomas gets more and mor comfortable with their games, the better the Bulls will be defensively.
