If the Cubs forced a game 5 do you think there's a chance Carlos would get the ball?

 

It's crazy to think of such hypotheticals, but I'd think that Lou would have to kill Z to get the ball away from him.

Z would be on 4 days rest. No reason at all that he shouldn't get the ball if it comes to that. He was awesome tonight.

You know what I was thinking? The only difference between last years team and this years team who has played for the Cubs so far is Edmonds instead of Jones and Fukudome instead of Floyd/Murton. Everyone else was on this team last year when we got swept. One upgrade, one downgrade. Edited by UMFan83

Dempster deserves it. I have more confidence in him than Z. But you could always throw Z and Dempster, each guy go 4 innings or so.

I think he would probably get it with Dempster waiting in the wings should he falter even a little.

he pitched good today, but let's face it. Dempster has been the better pitcher all year. There is no reason to put an entire season on the line and make a pitching decision based on one game instead of one year.

Considering it's 12:16 AM here I'll say yesterday only to be difficult. Other than that, no.

 

I hate the cubs by the way.

Dempster was on the team last year and Harden hasn't played in this series yet.

Dempster has a history of coming out of the pen, Z doesn't. Start Z and use Dempster out of the pen if it gets ugly.
