It's just kinda weird that we always go into these Lions games with significant injuries. I still think it's our game to lose, but the odds are obviously not as stacked in our favor. A couple key mistakes will probably give the game to Detroit.

Plus, the Lions are always better on that godawful surface they call a football field.

From David Haugh's article today:

Taking a game off could help refocus Harris, who took the suspension hard. The nameplate above Harris' locker was removed Thursday—nobody knew who took it off—and his presence will be missed.

Not to overreact, but are we looking at the end of Harris's career? Or just a bad time here?

With a guy as emotionally unstable as Harris appears, you never know. I'd say the chances are slim that he actually walks away for good, but who knows what kind of effort or production they will get out of him this year.

Yeah, the guy might have some emotional issues. It wasn't too long ago he was thinking of retiring after he completed his first year.

Expect to see him wandering down Lake Cook road in a hospital gown sometime soon.

You guys think the players are behind Tommie or the management on this one?

I'm sure there are varying opinions, but I don't really care who they back, it's how they respond that matters.

Just about the last thing I need after watching the Cubs very possibly lose on Saturday is to see the Bears tank against the Lions the next day.

Ooooohh, you can see this one coming a mile away.

This game was such a sucker bet, it's almost too obvious of a storyline, to the point that now I might actually think they will win.

Didn't we already have a crazy player a handful of years back in Alonzo Spellman? We don't need another.

Alonzo Spellman, Tank Johnson, Tommie Harris.....

Long live the crazy eyed Bears Defensive Lineman!

Well uh, this game could really suck for us.

Big potential for letdown, with Vasher out, Tillman Questionable, and Harris (although he's been ineffective) out.

Was going to put big money on the Bears, now I'm not so sure. We've got to run up the score and eat up clock so their WRs don't destroy us.

Vasher stinks. Bears could be 4-0 even without Harris. They need Tilman to play though.

Disagree, and I think you'll see why this Sunday when Megatron is beating our DBs left and right.

He's figured out that he personally doesn't need to play for a future payday anymore, so he's personally having a little difficulty figuring out his motivation. It's personal.

what are the "personal problems" harris has been dealing with?

Didn't he visit Africa or something like that and realize football is small potatoes compared to the everyday problems people face?

He has a child he cannot see a lot. Some issues with the mother. That's what was reported on the radio.

Hub Arkish also said his knee problem was degenerative. They also said that about Urlachers back and he seems fine.

Tillman and Vasher both expect to play tomorrow.

And it sounds like Chris Williams is getting better and better. Hopefully he's less than a month away.

Good deal, though I still think it remains to be seen if Vasher plays.

Here's an interesting scenario, if the Bears are competing for a playoff spot still and St. Clair continues to play the way he has (I think he's been ok, nowhere near great though), do the Bears throw Williams in there to get him some reps? What's the chances he can come in after no training camp and 8-9 missed weeks of the season, and be better than JSC?

JSC is just holding his own at this point, he hasn't played well enough to keep Williams on the bench.

Hub says lots of things. Many of these things turn out to be incorrect.
