If this game does get in I believe the Cubs will win, this loss, coupled with the Marlins taking two of of three, will have the Mets finishing at 88-74. Brewers will win today, over the weekend, will they get one from the Cubs? If they do, I'd like to see it Sunday, Sabathia going on 3 days rest, Cubs work him for 125+ pitches.

Please move this game up. I don't even care if we lose, I just don't want it to be PPD.

MLB should rethink their policy of not moving games around in September because of weather. If this game gets played in the afternoon there are no issues. If they start at 6, it could get ugly. Although, it'd be nice to get out of their with a Harden complete-game shutout (of the 5 or 6 inning variety).

Mets fans thoughts on the Cubs:

I've always said they're not a World Series-caliber team this year, and I'm not changing my mind. They're gonna get shut down by righty pitching. If they play the Angels or Rays in the World Series, Lackey/Santana or Garza/Shields is like 4 automatic wins. Their lefties can't even hit righties. Against Parnell and Smith, they've looked positively [bad]. I'm not scared of Zambrano, who is a head case, and I'm not scared of Harden, who can't get out of the 6th and might legit injure himself before the playoffs even start. Marmol and Wood are great, but that means nothing if they can't get to them, and Harden aside this team just doesn't look substantially different from the one that got [expletive] mowed down by Arizona in the NLDS last year. Wouldn't be surprised if they were one and done. They split with the Phils at home, and if that's who they end up playing in the NLCS, I don't like their chances, which sucks because I hate the Phightin's more than I hate looking at recent pictures of Amy Winehouse.

Im not gonna lie, it is fun to sit back and watch these games without consequence. I mean when was the last time we got to watch over a weeks worth of games without nail biting?

I know its horrible.

We do hit worse vs. RHP (which is expected) but its still over league average

.274 .350 .444 .794 vs. RHP

.291 .369 .446 .815 vs. LHP

Plus, Ramirez has big reverse splits this year and has hit RHP really well, and 2 of our other positions are in straight platoons (CF, and 2B/RF).

I don't know if anyone has realized this, but this is Aramis Ramirez's splits this year:

.308 .398 .565 .962 vs. RHP

.229 .327 .382 .708 vs. LHP

Looking at potential NL playoff teams rotations

Dodgers: 3 righties, 1 lefty

Mets: 2 righties, 2 lefties

Phillies: 2 righties, 2 lefties

Brewers: 2 righties, 2 lefties

Throw in a 64-46 record vs RHP which is, guess what, the best in the NL and damn near the best in Baseball - TB and ANA

Well nobody ever said a Mets fan had ay working brain cell. I wonder if that is the same Met fan who said that he would take "Johan/Ollie and Pelfrey over Z/Harden and Dempster."

I just think the Mets fans are trying to convince themselves they are in the Cubs league, but the reality is....the Cubs are in a different league then the rest of the National League.

In all honesty, the vibe I'm getting is most Mets fans are convinced the Mets aren't even good enough to make the playoffs, let alone hang with the Cubs.

Where is that from?

I'm assuming that one or two of the smarter posters on whatever forum that is jumped all over that.
