oh i'm going to bet i've got it worse here

In Columbia we're obligated to get both the Rams and the Chiefs, I wonder if they'll combine to get 10 wins combined...if you include last year.

Yeah, we get quite a few Chiefs games here too including today's. It's great if you're wanting to watch some bad football for entertainment, but I really wish we had either the Bucs-Bears game or the Saints-Broncos game here today.

Insanely predictable. If you're the Jags, you have no damn excuse for running from the 5 yard line on 3rd and goal up 3 unless it's some sort of spread-draw type run, because you KNOW Peyton is going to kill you on the final drive. Edited by Andy

I didn't think the Lions would be good, but I didn't think they would be this bad. Roy Williams has to be ready to get out and head to the Cowboys.

Derek Anderson is 14/36. Not even four yards a pass attempt.

This is one of the most predictable one-year-wonder flameouts in the history of sports. How bad will Crennel let it get is the question.

Roy Williams to Dallas.........that's a good one.. :-))

Scobee nails a 51 yarder and the Jaguars win it. What an ending to wake up to.

Don't be surprised if he signs with Dallas as a FA.

in the last 7 years, the Lions have gone 31-82 for a .274 win percentage

i just don't think that can be topped

a rare moment of clarity for Stephen A. Smith:

This team is atrocious and Matt Millen is a walking football atrocity. He is the worst executive, in my opinion, in the history of team sports.

He is flat out garbage. The fact that he is allowed to have a job, the fact that he is allowed to walk through the streets of Detroit to enter Ford Field is an abomination in and of itself.

There should be barricades keeping this man out of the city limits. He should not be allowed to be employed by the Detroit Lions. He is a disgrace of the highest order.

Louisiana Tech product.

two missed field goals, come out of a first and goal with ZERO points, botch a 2 pt conversion, and can't convert a 3rd and 1 with game on the line.

Saints BLEAUX

I think the critical mistake for the Saints was going for it in the first half on fourth and goal. Had they taken the three points there, they might have won the game.

In the first half, I believe in taking the points in that situation.

Pacman just forced Grant to fumble and recovered it. This could be a huge swing in momentum early.

I know we're trying to get TO involved early, but I really wish they'd look off of him and put the ball elsewhere.

Pat Watkins down with an injury now :x With Williams already out, we can't afford injuries to our secondary. I guess if it's serious Henry will move to S and Jenkins or Scandrick could see some playing time tonight.

I honestly am perfectly fine the Colts lost to the Jaguars. But I would like to mention one critical thing that went completely unnoticed, changed the game, and shows the decline of refs:

On 4th and 1, the Jaguars threw the pass, and the Colts got called for defensive pass interference. The contact occurred at the 35 yard line (the only time the 2 players in question were within 5 yards of each other). When the refs spotted the ball, it wasn't at the 35. It wasn't at the 36. It was at the 40 yard line! 5 yards off of spotting the ball, which is a big difference when the team in question is trying to drive and kick the game winning field goal.

So am I wrong, or is that just a horribly blown call? Pass interference is spot of the foul in every situation in the NFL (besides the end zone of course), isn't it?

Like I said, I don't care about how it impacted the game. Scobee could have made it from 60. But I'm not sure I've ever seen the refs spot a ball that badly, and so I wanted to clarify the rule.

Did they not call illegal contact? I was groaning and didn't hear the call.

Also, it was extremely stupid to throw twice before running in for the score. You run -- especially since the ground game was working -- and either score, run clock or make them burn timeouts. Surprisingly poor clock management for the Colts.

Stupid, stupid throw there by Crayton. He was a QB in college so he should know to throw it out of bounds and live to play another down. He got lucky there.

They called interference and gave the Jaguars 11 yards..from the 29 to the 40. I have no idea where they came up with the 40 though..that certainly wasn't where any interference happened.

Then I'm at a loss too.
