Well the Pacman FF took the GB crowd out of the game and Romo just let them back in. Tony needs some ginko biloba or something, he's got serious cobwebs in his head sometimes.

I honestly am perfectly fine the Colts lost to the Jaguars. But I would like to mention one critical thing that went completely unnoticed, changed the game, and shows the decline of refs:

On 4th and 1, the Jaguars threw the pass, and the Colts got called for defensive pass interference. The contact occurred at the 35 yard line (the only time the 2 players in question were within 5 yards of each other). When the refs spotted the ball, it wasn't at the 35. It wasn't at the 36. It was at the 40 yard line! 5 yards off of spotting the ball, which is a big difference when the team in question is trying to drive and kick the game winning field goal.

So am I wrong, or is that just a horribly blown call? Pass interference is spot of the foul in every situation in the NFL (besides the end zone of course), isn't it?

Like I said, I don't care about how it impacted the game. Scobee could have made it from 60. But I'm not sure I've ever seen the refs spot a ball that badly, and so I wanted to clarify the rule.

Did they not call illegal contact? I was groaning and didn't hear the call.

Also, it was extremely stupid to throw twice before running in for the score. You run -- especially since the ground game was working -- and either score, run clock or make them burn timeouts. Surprisingly poor clock management for the Colts.

They called interference and gave the Jaguars 11 yards..from the 29 to the 40. I have no idea where they came up with the 40 though..that certainly wasn't where any interference happened.

Then I'm at a loss too.

By the way, I completely agree with you about running the ball at least on 1st down. You either get a TD or get the clock down, which are both good results. To throw on that down made no sense. It was a classic case of the Colts putting too much trust in one of their units that are struggling (defense today, special teams on other days). Unfortunately, a few things went wrong, and it cost them the game today. It's a losing strategy overall for Jacksonville to essentially be playing for a tie, but it does mean they pull games out like this sometimes.

I really despise Brian Stewart (Cowboys D-Coordinator) right now. We've got good CBs but he still insists on play soft on the corners. Mike Zimmer was ran out of town because of his "bend, don't break" defense, and it seems like Stewart is fading back to that again.

Greg Ellis just had a shot at a huge hit on Rogers and completely whiffed.

It sure would be nice to know the status on Barnett. Thanks Andrea Kramer for your brilliant reporting.

How about her report on Al Harris: "His whole body is cramped up, but he'll be fine"

For the love of God, Bob Sanders (of the terrible defensive coodinator variety) needs to learn how to blitz on 3rd down. Rushing only 4 against a line as good as Dallas' usually won't fare to well and of course, Romo picks us apart.

Good to see Brandon Chillar still playing in the NFL.

Dear Tony Romo,

There are 30 seconds left in the first half, momentum is on our side, and we're leading. Please don't be stupid.

Wow, Romo has been brutal in the red zone today.

Next time I need to send this priority mail. Maybe he'll get it.

Well, can't complain too much about only being down by a TD at half considering how long our defense has been on the field. Rest up during half, get a 3 and out to start the 2nd half and hopefully the offense stays on the field longer in the 2nd half.

This is one time where I really miss Bill Parcells. Tony Romo needs someone that will look him in the eye and say "Hey stupid, you're not god. Just drive the bus and let the players around you do the rest." Parcells would do that, Phillips won't and I don't think Garrett will either.

two missed field goals, come out of a first and goal with ZERO points, botch a 2 pt conversion, and can't convert a 3rd and 1 with game on the line.

Romo is a great QB, but man, he has some awful awful moments that hamper him.

I would not be shocked to see the Cowboys lose their first playoff game this year.

I don't think that Nationwide Insurance commercial will ever get old. "I've got your forgiveness right here, sonny!" :-))

Our lack of discipline and Romo's mental lapses are going to hold us back. I hope we can correct those 2 things as the season moves forward, but both problems have plagued us for quite some time now.
