I'm excited for this weekend. It'll be the first time since graduation I'll be in Columbia. The 11:30 a.m. starting time sucks, and the tailgating will start early, but itll be fun as hell.

Also, Mizzou should win the game fairly big. And when OSU loses to USC this weekend, Mizzou should move into the top 5.

Nevada gave Texas Tech some trouble for a while, so I'm hoping that's a good enough reminder to keep the team from coming out flat. Fortunately, with the game being at home, and the state of the Mizzou offense with Daniel as the trigger man, Mizzou is relatively upset proof, because they're going to score too many points to allow the opponent any margin for error.

Thank goodness I get Versus.

Hope the young'ns are ready to play in a hostile environment.

Anyone who is interested in the snoozefest that is Michigan/Notre Dame needs to have themselves examined.

I'll be at the stadium. If we win, I don't give half a brown Crayola how horribly boring and ugly it is. I'm just sick of getting blown out by Michigan.

I predict both teams will look far far better than they have so far, though.

I'm anxiously awaiting Saturday and being able to go to Ryan Field. Northwestern has had their fair share of trouble with I-AA competition in recent years and they have had a tendency to play down to their competition for as long as I can remember, so I do think we'll be very much in this game. Bacher is probably going to get his fair share of yards, but I do think it'll be a game that we can go in there and hopefully pull out. As long as our front seven can contain Sutton and Conteh, we'll be ok. Realistically, I'm just hoping for a close game and for us to put up a respectable effort.

Illinois should cruise to another easy win as well.

Rivalry week. Good times.

Clowns suck

That didn't matter last year...

Since Iowa State was outgained by Kent State this week, I'm not too confident. The rushing attack (outside of Bates) needs a lot of work, and the rush D is still awful. On the plus side, the pass D is much improved, and our kicking game looks better. Arnaud has been efficient passing, and Phillip Bates is easily our most athletic QB since Seneca Wallace (just needs some passing accuracy). If Iowa can do what South Dakota State and Kent State couldn't and limit their turnovers, they should be able to win with superior talent at home. A win by ISU wouldn't be too surprising though considering the recent history of the series.

Go State!

I think your second sentence will be the difference. It should be awfully tough for ISU to run on Iowa's front 7 and we should be able to run for 150 on ISU. So there will be a lot more pressure on ISU's young QB's on the road to make plays.

Still don't have a good feel for our secondary and our QB's will face more pressure in the first quarter Saturday than they've seen in the first two games.

The line (-13) is too high, but we really should win this game.

I've been surprised by Iowa this year. They actually have moved the ball, even if it is against Maine and Fla. Int, they couldn't do this last year against might Northern Illinos and Western Michigan. There is no reason Iowa should lose to ISU but that's been said for the last how many years now.

Nervous about KU @ South Florida. 1st road game, young offensive line, short week....

i'm a little shaky about this week too (I always am on long road trips).

I think we win, and we're clearly the better team, but I worry about what someone like Locker will do to our defense. We have a habit of letting guys like him just take over a game.

Penn State is going to destroy Syracuse

In your dreams!!!!

They wouldn't play us when we were good and of all the times....God I hate Robinson.

I think Penn State is the best team in the Big Ten and I can't wait until they play in Iowa City.

I feel sorry for Syracuse football fans.

I think you guys should roll UDub. But they're dangerous enough that's I'd be worried, too, despite their 0-2 record.

I really though our running game would be a strength this year, but so far it's been pretty non-existent. And I don't know how our redshirt freshmen tackle is going to block Selvie. If Reesing gets time, I have faith he'll produce. And our Defense hasn't allowed a TD yet. But that Florida humidity is going to be a twelfth man that, i fear, will really make a difference. Hopefully we can force Groethe into some dumb mistakes.

I still haven't gotten to see ISU play, but from what their fans are saying, it doesn't sound like this one will be close. None of them are supposed to be, though. Still, I'll go out on a limb and say the Hawks dominate. I'm talking a 20+ point win.

You should handle them easily even if the game is in Seattle. Locker is a talent but he doesn't have many weapons surrounding him and your team speed and strength in the trenches should be able to dominate.
