I expect more of the same crappy offense from Michigan this weekend. It's going to be a disaster of a season.

May the battle for in-state supremacy begin. Considering SEMO gave up 500+ yards to Southwest Baptist last week, Mizzou may hang a hundred on them. I just hope they let Maclin and Moore rest to make sure they don't reaggravate their injuries.

This has got to be the biggest mismatch in recent Mizzou history. I'll be at this one. First Mizzou game is far too long. I can't wait!

This will be the first time since 2003 that I won't be at a Mizzou home game at Faurot. That makes me sad. I think I will miss the tailgating more than the game though, because this one is gonna be over very early.

I will be at the Nevada game though. It'll be my first time back since graduation.

Id like to see Central Michigan give Georgia their run for the money this weekend. QB Dan Lefevour is a pretty damn good running the spread(Centrals coach is a former R. Rodriquez OC). I call Lefevour 'Tim Tebow Lite'. He isnt as big or strong as him but runs the qb draws up the middle pretty well, might actually be better with his arm than Tim's though. Their defense needs to be up to the challenge of Georgias offense, but Lefevour can really make some noise this week.

Maclin will probably play, Moore probably won't.

Danario is also due back next week.

Looking forward to SIU's opener this week. We didn't play some NAIA or D-3 school this year, so starting against Hampton should throw us in the thick of things pretty fast. It should be a good warmup game before our game against Northwestern next weekend.

Illinois should blow out EIU pretty easily and we'll just see how much NIU has improved this year with a tough road conference game early in the season against Western Michigan.

I don't know much of anything about Oregon St. Should I be worried?

Well, they just lost to Stanford. Stanford's not necessarily awful, but they're a few notches below you.

Ball State/Navy is probably at least as big as Ball State/IU was in Muncie two years ago. Especially because this one's on TV. The Middies are one of the two teams that are absolutely good enough to beat the Cardinals before late November. Last year's game in Annapolis was a classic and I expect little less out of this one. I'm really amped for it. Nate Davis and the Cards' offense looked machine-like in week 1, but it was against Northeastern. If they can control the game against Navy the same way, Ball State should be 2-0 for the first time in...a very long time.

As for Notre Dame, I'm just happy that the 07 season officially does not matter anymore come kickoff on Saturday. Any other year I'd be horribly incensed to be playing a team like San Diego State week 1 since it renders the Irish essentially no better than any other big-time team playing a cupcake (thanks Dr. White), but this team could use it. There's no reason for them to lose if they've improved as much as indications are they have. Hopefully the game provides a way for Kyle Rudolph to get acclimated to starting at tight end and the RB trio gets plenty of work.

San Diego State sucks. ND should have no problem with them. And if they do, I'd recommend skipping the rest of the season.

Losing to Cal Poly SLO = ouch.

Cal Poly's actually a good club, but that's in FCS.

And if you haven't heard the name Ramses Barden, you will in few months when draft projections start coming. He's a stud. Around 6-5 or 6-6 and basically a lock to catch 5 to 7 passes at about a 20 to 25 yard average, which is impressive since Cal Poly is a running team. Last year Poly QB's threw for 2364 yards and Barden went for 1467 of those and 18 of the 30 TD's. Against SDSU he caught the only TD pass and 161 of the 220 yards they gained through the air. I've heard a couple things about him potentially going in the second round of the NFL draft.
