We offically got over the 6 GA bump that we matched in 2001 and 1989 and we are now the most games over .500 since 1984

I think the "most games over .500" thing goes back waaay before 1984 now....the other night I read we had hit the "most games over since 1945" mark with the 1930's not far away.

32 over was max in 1984 and 1969. They're now 34 over. Best since 1945.

42 over was the top in 1945.

I don't think they'll beat 42 over this year.

I'm sorry, I'm a moron. I meant we are the most games ahead of 1st place since 1984

i missed everything due to the DNC. Please, please, please post the video highlights somewhere soon!

Cubs teams like this don't come along very often. We elect presidents every four years. Proirities! [-X

MLB.com has the Fontenot HR and the Ramirez HR.

Normally I'd say this is impossible, but then I remembered Geovany Soto.

Seriously, we need to take this in as much as possible. Who knows if we'll ever see anything quite like this season again? I'ts been absolutely unbelieveable so far.

Wrigley is such an incredible place. I'm still getting goosebumps every time I watch that HR. Excuse me while I watch it a few more times.

Len had a badass call of that slam. I didn't hear it the first time because I was screaming.

Seriously, on days like this I can't even think of things I don't love about being a Cubs fan.

i've been watching that home run over and over and over again. the best part of it was watching the old man in green standing in the front row behind the backstop and the utter joy that he elicited as he hopped up against the netting with this huge childlike grin on his face.

we need to win for guys like him.

I went back and looked at this. There's just something about it. I'm with you, I want this team to do it for the thousands of fans like this guy. They deserve it.

I hate when the fall semester starts and I miss Cubs games.

If the Cubs go to the WS, I'm skipping classes and work for a week no matter the consequences.

I'm sure it has been mentioned, but ARam's GS was 430 feet if it was a foot.

389 my arse.

389? He hit it 10 rows deep just to the left of the 400 foot sign? that's crazy

If the Cubs go to the WS, I am skipping classes, taking off work and flying 1200 miles just to stand outside Wrigley so I can feel closer to it.

389??? that's barely clearing the fence when hit to that part of the park.

That's what How Far did it Fly claimed.

Yep. If the WS is on the north side this year, I'll be standing out on Waveland for the games.
