I was about to question Lou's decision to bat Reed fifth ahead of Soto and DeRosa but then I looked up the splits and Reed has the highest OPS (.949) against lefties of the three. Soto at .918 and DeRosa at .838.

I think this is the first ever series where the cubs actually followed our optimistic predictions.

Yeah, that really did suck.

 

But it doesn't seem like Glavine is going to find it. I don't think he gets out of the 4th if the guys stay patient.
