Seriously, has Blanco ever had a walk off hit before?

I think in 2006 when Hank was a force, with the bat, with the likes of Boom Boom Bynum, Neifi, and Beltran Jr? LOL

p.s. no more plesac ever plz

I'm just listening to the video highlights on Gameday and even in such a short burst, you could tell how horrid Pleasac is.

Lou just mentioned Wood wasn't available because his back is bothering him. Said not sure on status for tomorrow. Great.

It wouldn't be a complete season without a pair of DL stints for Wood.

I'm not worried about that though. He's had back issues for awhile. Usually keeps him out a couple days. He'll be alright.

We won the game under these circumstances:

-2 HRs by Jim Edmonds as a Cub

-Scoreless inning by Howry 2 Ks

-Walkoff hit by Henry Blanco

Jimmy hitting two homers and Henry effing Blanco with the walk-off hit, against the Cardinals = sweet.

I'd love to see them try to beat Z tomorrow. He completely owns the Cardinals. Dempster after. It's looking mighty fine.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but a lot of things went right for us to win today. The failed squeeze, the out at home by Soriano, Howry actually being good...

Overall though, it was a great game, made even better by the fact that it was the Cardinals.

LaRussa's idiocy had a lot to do with it, I would classify that less as 'things going right' than 'the Cardinals have an extremely sketchy in-game manager'

After watching Blanco's walkoff single, I can't believe that wasn't caught. That looked like a line drive off the bat.
