*slaps self in the face*

Ok, not dreaming. But Howry just sat down Ludwick-Glaus-Molina in order, without surrendering a run, let alone a hit - AND got 2 Ks out of the deal!?!?!?

Ho-lee Shiznit!!!!!!

he's still been pretty good when he is able to keep putting that fastball on the outer half. the problem is that he's been missing too much, and when you're trying to paint the outside corner with a straight fastball and it drifts a few inches toward the center of the plate, you've just thrown a low 90s BP fastball against guys who are probably sitting on the fastball.

Hate to be cliche, but Howry is a guy with a lot of pride from all accounts. Don't be surprised if he has a good last couple months. He seemed to be truly embarrassed his last time out.

If you're right we may have the best bullpen ever.

I just don't understand how Lou allows Howry to pitch because eventually he will come around when he hasn't really been willing to do that with others in the past like Eyre or Wuertz for example. I am not saying that he necessarily should have done so with these other guys, but his inconsistency is what has perplexed me.

howry throws strikes. wuertz and eyre didn't do that consistently enough for lou's liking.

Yea its just that Howrys strikes land in the bleachers, and Wuertz and Eyres dont

Lou's disdain for the walk has made him overlook Howry's deficiencies.

Nice inning, wow!

Are you serious Lee? Nah we don't need you to walk with Ramirez on deck.

Edit: Luckily he did eventually walk

for God's sakes, shut up plesac

Len is searching for a noose.

haha, it's like in the movie "airplane" when ted stryker wouldn't shut up and the passengers next to him kept hanging or poisoning themselves rather than having to listen to his stories.

Nice, Lee. Good start to the inning.

molina's such a good defensive catcher. he just saves a wild pitch, almost gets lee straying too far from first, then wisely goes and tells franklin to calm down

st louis announcers are scared by ryan franklin. you can just hear it. he's their bob howry.

half of their bullpen is their bob howry.

..well...can't argue wtih that this year

I liked how he talked during what is normally silence so we can hear the crowds reaction to a player when Edmonds batted his last time up.
