Most people will say with Marquis on the mound and the Cubs have no shot at winning. So seeing as Marquis is kinda defiant, I say he gives us 7 strong inning s 5 hits 1 r ball, and the Cubs win 2.5 to 1.

Does Fontenot count as half a run as he is approx. half the size of a real baseball player?

:D

And don't be messing with Sneaky Power.

The Cubs WILL win this game by more than 3 runs. And the Brewers will lose.

You capitilized WILL so it must be true.

Didn't capitalize the second will. :(

There's no way we don't get shut out by VandenHurk and his 6.10 ERA.

The Cubs have my permission to kick his Dutch ass all over the place.

and that pompass a**hole rob drake behind the plate....could get interesting

If by chance the Cubs fall behind, one of the catchers missing a high fastball wouldn't bother me at all. Say sometime in the 9th inning... :-$

You mean like this?

nah no need for that, i'm sure mlb will hold him accountable for his poor calls and overaggressive nature.

bwahahahaha just kidding... mlb holding umpires accountable, what a crazy idea.

It disappoints me that in a 4 game series at home with Zambrano, Harden and Dempster pitching the best we can hope for on game 4 is a split

I know I may sound negative in every game thread in which The Cubs are sucking, but later get over it, but this is truely the first time this season Ive questioned whether this team will make the playoffs. A lot of us seem to have this idea in the back of our head that theres a script written in which the offense comes to life and powers out of this and storms to the promised land, but unfortunately, thats not how baseball works.

This is very reminiscant of 2004, in which we clearly had a great team on paper but were unable to get the job done. I know the melt down was much later, but none the less should not have happened.

total coin flip on whether I watch this one or not. generally, when I choose to skip the game, they win. What i'm saying is the losing is all my fault

Pull the plug on this Hoover so this offense can stop sucking.

This is one rough stretch.

I was watching the NYY/BOS game and Sox have scored 25 runs in 8 games. they are having the same trouble as the Cubs are with their offense sucking.

Too good to hold the Cubs O down for long. Thats what ive been saying and im waiting......

And even though I don't get CSN, this game will still be blacked out for me. Stupid, utterly pointless blackout rules.

Do you get TBS? It's going to be on that too in case that's not blacked out. It's their game of the week.

Maybe the thread title should be changed to show that as well?

Yes, I get TBS, but all they will be showing during the game is a blank screen.

Marquis has been pretty good his last three starts... which means that he'll probably be pretty lousy today.

Let's hope our freaking offense shows up for the first time in awhile.

My prediction is Cubs lose 3-2, thanks to something that Jeremy Hermida does in the late innings.

If not Hermeda, then Cantu.
