Marquis has been pretty good his last three starts... which means that he'll probably be pretty lousy today.

 

Let's hope our freaking offense shows up for the first time in awhile.

 

He's been pretty good since June really.

24/19 K/BB

 

He hasn't had much support this month. He's 0-2 with really good numbers. Would be nice for the Cubs to have a bit of an offensive breakout today before heading into Milwaukee.

It disappoints me that in a 4 game series at home with Zambrano, Harden and Dempster pitching the best we can hope for on game 4 is a split

 

And they gave up 4 runs between them in 18 innings.

I worry about the bullpen today, since Marmol, Gaudin and Marshall were all stretched out yesterday. That leaves any dirty work to Samardzija, Eyre, Cotts and Howry.

 

I also predict that with Soto not starting, he'll come off the bench late and drive in a run that will ultimately ensure the Cubs lose by only a run again.
