Mucho propoganda props to Cubbies75 for finding the coolest Demp pic vs. the ugliest Contreras pic :)

I'm sick of this losing crap. How about a nice easy road win today?? I don't even care who we are playing, let's get back to 20 over.

Vance changed his avatar because I said I liked it :(

Or because he has a obsession? :-"

I had that avatar since November or so. I just hadn't found anything I liked better. It will come back in the fall, I'm sure. This one probably won't last forever either.

for whatever reason, i'm far less excited about this series than I was about the one last weekend

Dempster today against Contreras is definitely in favor of the Cubs. But, the next two games favor the Sox in pitching matchups. A good thing is that they miss Danks who pitched well again yesterday.

It's cause it's at their crappy ballpark.

coupled with their overall "meh" effort against the O's

It might be selective memory as well. Most people were pretty down after the sweep against the Rays last week, especially with the huge bullpen collapse Thursday night. Then, when they were down 3-1 in the 7th on Friday, it didn't make it any better.

I'll take a guess at the Cubs lineup:

Fukudome (hopefully)

Patterson

Lee

Ramirez

Edmonds

Ward

Soto

Fontenot

Theriot

You must have been listening to Murph, otherwise you wouldn't have left DeRo out of the lineup.

Not exactly sure what you mean..have never listened to Murphy.

But Lou started Fontenot against Contreras last Saturday, and he responded by hitting a home run. Lou doesn't often go away from a guy the next time they face the same pitcher if they have success the first time.

Right before you posted this, Murph was hinting on his show that Ward was playing right today and Fukudome is DHing, with DeRo sitting out, that's what I meant.

btw - I hate Murph, just happened to have his show on when I heard it.

Hopefully they'll let Ward patrol the oufield via segway.

Oh my gosh, Ward in RF? Ugh

if you're gonna do it, dempster (relatively high K-rate and high GB rate) is the best guy to have on the mound. i don't think RF is particularly difficult to play at the cell, either.

What are the eligible dates for our players to come off the DL. I think this is correct:

Soriano: Any time (0 days left)

Reed: 7/3 @ SF (6 days)

Zambrano: 7/4 @ STL (7 days)

I have a bad feeling about this series. Say what you will about the Sox, but their run differential is excellent. I think they're a really good team, especially at home.

Don't suck, pz. ok?

Who are #3 and #5 in your sig?

#3- Danica Patrick. #5-Shania Twain.

In case you were curious, I got a slap on the wrist for the cat picture yesterday.

I have a pretty good feeling about this series, but then again, I had a bad feeling about the last Sox series and a great feeling about the O's series.

At least the worst case scenerio is we go into a 4 game set with The Giants 1.5 games in first.

Cedeno over Theriot doesn't make me too happy either

Only Lee and Ramirez have played more innings than Theriot at their respective positions. He's on pace to blow by last year's totals when everybody said he tired down the stretch. He needs to rest sometime. You can't expect him to keep up this current pace.
