yeah, he swung at several pitches that A) were really far out of the strike zone low and/or away, and B) he didn't come anywhere near to making contact. Then he swung at more garbage and GIDP. It was depressing

I have more confidence, perhaps wrongly, in Gallagher than both Marquis and Lilly

and much more confidence in Marshall than Marquis

Zambrano>Dempster>Gallagher>Lilly>Hill>Marshall>Lieber>_____________Veal>_____________Marquis>Samardzija

That's my confidence order for pitchers in the organization, I'm not saying that's how good they are just how confident I would be having those people on the mound. Basically while I was making this I was reminded how much our rotation blows, how the eff do the Cubs have the 2nd best ERA in the NL (going into today)? Jesus Christ, Jim, go effin get Harden.

i like how you say this. c'mon hendry, just go out and trade from our group of lousy prospects to acquire an excellent pitcher from a team that's 8 games over .500 and has a legitimate chance to make the playoffs! how can it be this difficult?!?!?

You do realize that Kosuke Fukudome never said what's in your sig, right? Surely you realize that google isn't good at translations.

Obviously I don't think that it's that easy I just wish we could add a top of the rotation pitcher. I think that we are one #1 or good #2 starter away from being an overwhelming World Series favorite. You don't think that a package of 4 or 5 players from a pool of Pie, Hill, Veal, Ceda, Murton, Patterson, Cedeno, and Colvin could net us an ace or a good #2?
