Xavier Henry says he has an agreement with Memphis that he'll be let out of his LOI if Calipari leaves.

Nolan Dennis has the same agreement. Apparently in years past, Derrick Rose and Tyreke Evans did too.

ETA:

** In addition to Kentucky, Arizona came after him over the weekend offering not a salary but a blank check. Calipari said, "No thanks."

Yeah, unless Georgia is offering Calipari money, there's no reason for Anderson to go there. Plus, like you mention, I'd be very surprised at Anderson going to a worse situation for a few more dollars with how family oriented he makes everything.

I agree but it sounds like Georgia is going to offer him almost a million more per season. That's more than just a 'few more dollars.'

It would be pretty bad for Missouri to lose Anderson to Georgia. It's not like that's his "dream job" or where he's from or anything like that.

Selfishly, I hope they do lose him. But I can't imagine they will.

Than his current salary, yes(although Anderson made like 1.2 after incentives this year). They've been waiting until the end of the season to negotiate his extension and raise though, which will bring him close to that point, or at least close enough that it wouldn't be worth it to take a worse job.

come to ku, xavier

I thought you were already over on scholarships?

We are. We won't be if Cole and Sherron go pro. There's talk a couple guys might be transferring, too.

if cal would have taken the kentucky job 2 years ago, derrick rose would have reneged on his commitment and come to illinois. why couldn't he have done this back then?

Would it have really mattered? They would've made the tournament but I don't think they really would've went too far; similar to Indiana and EJ.

That's good news for you Mizzou guys.

Because Kentucky didn't want him then because they thought he had too much baggage from the UMass days. But now they're desperate because they didn't make the tourney and are willing to sell their soul to the devil to get back to being good.

Indiana is a terrible analogy.

With Cal going to Kentucky, am I to assume that people will pass on taking potshots at Calipari and his now new "mercenary" title and keep taking potshots at Nick Saban on the football thread?

Calipari's been the head coach of as many teams over the past 20 years as Saban has in the past 10.

But, you honestly think people are going to refrain from taking shots at Calipari. I don't think anybody likes the guy outside of the fans of the team he's coaching(as long as it's college)

All I ever asked for is that if people are going to take shots at Nick Saban (reasonable shots, that is) you have to take the same shots at another coach is doing the same thing. Yes, Calipari have moved less in 20 yrs as a coach then Saban has in 10 yrs, but lets cross out the pro jobs of both (both sucked as pro coaches) and compare the conferences Cal and Saban has coached in and you have Cal's A-10 and Conference USA .v. Saban's Big 10 and SEC. So really it's a matter of Saban's "Staying in one spot" .v. Cal's "level of competition." So the situations are similar, and I kind of expect people on this board to not only take shots at Saban, but they have to take the same shots at Cal. That is all I ask for.

What? That makes no sense.

And people do take shots at CJC (as they should).

I'm just tired, not an argument I meant to start and I apologize.
