but seriously, since moving to Kansas, I never thought much about tornado's, but now I do. I thought it would be cool to see one until I saw the damage in Greensburg from last year and during a warning (with sirens going off) I went upstairs out of the basement to get something and the winds were ridiculous. Now I do not care about seeing one.

Teams usually post them early so players can prepare for what they're going to do. The batting-practice hitting groups also are determined by who's in and who's out. The pitchers hit first, followed by the extra men and then the regulars. If somebody is hurting and is questionable, the manager might wait until after BP to issue a lineup.

Plus theres no way Edmonds shouldn't bat 8th or even 9th any time he's in the lineup.

Yeah, Lou deserves at least some of the credit for the incredible offensive patience we're seeing this year. I'm confident that that's more important than the dumb stuff he does in-game.

 

I wouldn't mind the back-to-back lefties if Lou would pinch-hit Johnson for Edmonds when the opposing manager brings in a LOOGY, but he's demonstrated that he will not do so.

Meh, last two weeks, he's OPSing over 1.000. I certainly dont mind that in the spot he is in. Lets see if it lasts.

Ok so the Cardinals trot out their typical lineup of Albert Pujols, crazy Ludwick and 7 people that can't hit, and finally they are getting 2 hit shut out.

I haven't paid any attention to how he's doing in other categories, but his batting average has fallen down to .307. That's still very good, but it's nowhere near where he was earlier in the season. Granted, it's a very small sample size, but he's only OPSing .492 in June.
