Unfortunately I missed it for the new Indiana Jones, which suuuuuuuuuuuuucked

 

Hey now. I thought it was a quality movie, second best in the Indy series.

 

I didn't know (remember) Indiana Jones was from Chicago and went to U of C though.

For once, looking towards tomorrow, there isn't a crisis in the bullpen. Everybody but Marmol has had 2 out of the last 3 days off now, and Marmol has only thrown 16 pitches combined in his 2 outings.

Everybody should be quite ready to go tomorrow except for Hart, and he's the 1 pitcher it really doesn't matter if he's unavailable. I would say that he would be likely to be demoted tomorrow, but with Ascanio really struggling since he went to AAA, I'm not sure for who it would be.

 

Asciano's struggling? Uh oh. If we demote Hart and decide to bring a pitcher, though, it's gotta be Jose, just because he's better than Hart as an innings eater.

Well they could have just done another Bible archaeology story but I think that's a bit played out. I heard that the aliens bit was borrowed from when the script was going to be about Atlantis -- so you were going to get aliens either way this time around.

That'd be like if in Back to the Future 3 you find out the Tannen family doesn't exist and it's just all Marty's alter ego like Tyler Durden, and you say that's crap and some wise guy says "What, it's less believeable than a DeLorean time machine or that Libyan terrorists back in the day actually had plutonium they could smuggle into the U.S. or you can invent time travel by hitting your head or you can funnel a lightning bolt into the engine of a car?"

I agree. But apparently for some people it means anything goes at any time, which I don't agree with. The Ark of Covenant, the Shankara Stones, the Holy Grail, these items and the quests and resolutions are thematically consistent. I think they're also interesting looking at them against the lens of these stories taking place when the world was beginning to shrink in earnest and these journeys unearthed evidence of the truth of religion, literally, not just metaphorically. What do we have here? "Oh yeah all that cornball crap Erich von Daniken wrote is true." Yuh huh. Alright, you can sign off on that if you like. I'll pass.
