Wow, thanks Orel and ESPN. I had no idea what a four seam fastball was.

Don't be too mad. ESPN broadcasts are geared towards the casual fan.

what a catch eh?

i clapped for the very first time, with enthusiam, for edmonds!

um...have you guys noticed that since lee has been in this slump he has changed his approach at the plate...he was doing that look over the shoulder thing ala coco crisp earlier in the year and it has been absent recently...coincidence!?

What a typical Edmonds catch. He took an awful angle to it an made it look harder than it should be.

If he takes the right angle he doesn't have to catch it over the shoulder.

This happens to CFers when a ball has spin and slice on it.

Sweet. He's definatley a Cub now.

He did what Edmonds does.

Bourn probably catches that standing under it.

Bad angle+no speed=omg what defense!!!111!

And lol @ Bob even thinking that was anywhere close to as good as the Johnson catch. What a joke.

What's up your butt? It would have been a difficult play for any CFer. I don't like Edmonds at all, but not to call it a great catch is slow-minded.

You know if Jim Edmonds signed with the Reds and made that catch, you would be saying the same things.

I would have said it as a joke and I have never been on a Red's forum.

So the Astros announcers called it an astounding catch, yet Cubs fans can't get over the fact that Edmonds actually did something to help the club....kinda pathetic if you ask me. If Z can forgive the guy why can't we?

It's Jim Edmonds. Do you remember playing the Cardinals 2001-2006?

You quoted a Reds fan.

you are really being naive if you honestly think that catch wasn't pretty awesome

I like anybody who plays for the Cubs (unless he's terrible, ex. Izturis), I find it pointless to be mad because he used to play for the Cardinals. Fact is, he's on the Cubs so I'm gonna like him. He's one of us now, and his goal is to give us all what Cubs' fans have been waiting 100 freakin years for.

I like Jim Edmonds. There, I said it.

I just don't look optimistically towards October knowing that Lilly is our number 2 starter going up against the Harens and Maines of the world

I'm ashamed to admit I high-fived my friend over a Jim Edmonds catch. Eh, well.

Haha, I did a little fist pump and right as I did it I paused because I realized it was Jim Edmonds.

Orel, shut the $% up!
