ugh. i still can't let myself give edmonds props. yuck.

You just knew he'd make a great catch or get a crucial hit in his first few games with us, saddling us all with this conflict of whether to cheer or boo.

Fate is laughing its ass off right now.

What a typical Edmonds catch. He took an awful angle to it an made it look harder than it should be.

If he takes the right angle he doesn't have to catch it over the shoulder.

This happens to CFers when a ball has spin and slice on it.

Sweet. He's definatley a Cub now.

He did what Edmonds does.

Bourn probably catches that standing under it.

Bad angle+no speed=omg what defense!!!111!

And lol @ Bob even thinking that was anywhere close to as good as the Johnson catch. What a joke.

Why is this even a question? Like it or not, he's a Cub. Booing him for making a great play is [expletive] stupid.

Yep. That's pretty much what i was thinking.

It is a lot nicer when it happens for your team, though.

Aren't you a Reds fan? Boring night at home?

Don't have a good feeling about this one. I really want this one so we don't have to remember we lost the game where Soto hit an inside the parker and Edmonds got that great catch. I always remember the Fukudome homer as a loss.

I never meant to say I wanted to boo him for the catch. I meant we all hate him so much, then he makes a great play like that and we have to cheer him, albeit reluctantly in some cases.

What's up your butt? It would have been a difficult play for any CFer. I don't like Edmonds at all, but not to call it a great catch is slow-minded.

Again, seriously, why is there a hill in center field? That is so stupid.

I wish it were a pit instead.

With crocodiles and a vine. Like Pitfall.

Yeah, I'll cheer for Edmonds when he makes a catch while swinging over the snapping jaws of a crocodile.

Baseball was slicing towards right field while in the air.

He was definitely a Cub when he signed the contract.

That ball was smoked and it was a hell of a play.

You know if Jim Edmonds signed with the Reds and made that catch, you would be saying the same things.
