Why isn't marmol a starter? Didn't he convert from starter to reliever in the minor leagues? Why?

 

Edinson Volquez reminds me a lot of Marmol. When I see Volquez it makes me think that we could have that if we made Marmol a starter.

Did anyone else listening to the radio broadcast hear Ronnie shouting at a fan who kept holding up a sign in front of the booth? They kept having to cut his mike;

It was alternatively hilarious and somewhat unsettling. I thought he was going to have a heart attack in the booth.

15 catchers have caught 3 no-hitters and 2 have caught 4: Ray Schalk and Varitek.

 

You might recall that Schalk was the "clean" catcher for the Black Sox in 1919.

 

I think Schalk only caught 3 (1914, 1917, 1922):

There's nothing haha about edmonds doing ANYTHING in a Cubs jersey.

 

Enough of the Edmonds hate, He's a Cub now. If he doesn't make that catch, it's a different game. That was a game changing catch.

 

I will NEVER not hate Edmonds, no matter what he does as a Cub in his (hopefully) very limited time here.

Is that who he was talking to when he screamed "Have a good night!" at the fans when they started leaving after the Ramirez home run? I thought that was hilarious, but I hadn't been paying attention when he got upset at the fans with the sign.
