Wow.

Astros announce guy: "Would you trade Brandon Lyon and Mark Kotsay for Nate McLouth?"

Long pause.

"It would be tough to give up those saves."

LOL at the Astros announcers:

"When was the last time a reliever got Tejada, Berkman, and Lee?"...(a few minutes go by)..."Yesterday. CJ Wilson did it."

:clapping: :clapping: :D

Why isn't marmol a starter? Didn't he convert from starter to reliever in the minor leagues? Why?

He just found his stroke as a reliever in the big league level, plus he wouldnt be able to do what he does in 1 or 2 innings for 5-7 innings.

"I think he'll be credited for a 2 bagger on that one"

Yeah, it was scorched right down the line. Moron.

That play really should have been made. Not an error, but certainly a catchable grounder.

Agreed. I feel like I've seen Wigginton let a lot of playable grounders whiz right past him.

To be honest, I missed the replay. These announcers have just pissed me off since pitch 1.

Wow! The ESPN team (specifically Thorne and Phillips) sounds as if they want to cry as the Cubs are pounding lumps on the pretenders. Errr, Astros. Get used to it, ESPN!

:D

is this astros announcer seriously telling us about a trade just proposed to him in fantasy baseball?

I was wondering how that McLouth for Lyon and Kotsay post was supposd to make any sense. Still bizarre, but at least coherent.

Yeah, and I wish he were in my league if he wouldn't give up Brandon Lyon and Mark Kotsay for Nate McLouth.

Way to advance the runner, ARam!

Dusty would have had him sacrifice Lee to third. Gotta get that runner to third with less than two outs, dude.

No, he would have had him sacrifice with the intention of having him fail to get the bunt down in order for him hit the 0-2 pitch out of the park.

All he needs is a red nose and a squirting flower.

That's why he's Ty Wiggington.

Its nice to have an efficient defense. I've decided I like guys who catch the ball.

...and get on base 4 out of 10 times.

Ramirez's last sacrifice was in 2000.
