Lilly's done. Usually a manager would take him out right now, but not ours.

Rich Hill would have been out of the game after the Kaz Matsui walk in the first inning.

Ballgame.

(once Lee hits this)

I agree. If Lee hits a bomb after the next 2 guys get on, it will be over...

Nobody is taking a pitcher out up 3-2 in the 5th with 1st and 2nd and an out.

He's a DP away from getting out of it.

How would the great Dusty handle this one?

Who cares?

He'd leave him out there for 385 pitches and blow his arm out.

No I wouldn't. It would have been "he made that play look a lot harder than it should have been." The same as it was when Ken Griffey Jr. made a "great catch" in CF his last few years playing there.

Honestly, any other CFer in the Central makes that one with ease.

Bourn?

Cameron?

McLouth?

Patterson?

Ankiel?

It's a pretty reutine play. Beiing old, slow, playing out of position, and just being a baseball player who should retire in general doesn't make that a great play. He did a really good job of making the play AFTER he messed it up to begin with. Nice job.

Then we have a difference of opinions and that's all that really needs to be said.

Bring in yesterday's starter, having pitched 125 pitches the night before, in to pitch the rest of the game.
