God Theriot sucks. Why did he hit that so hard so that Soriano couldn't score? Did Jim Edmonds teach you to hit like that? Idiot. Edited by UMFan83

Theriot is kinda good, I'm starting to have no choice but to admit it. In a couple weeks it will be June and he's in the top 10 in the NL average and still getting on base above a .400 clip.

On an unrelated note, I heard something rather intesting the other day when I was watching the Sox play the Angels (yes I know...why am I watching the Sox? Nothing else was on at the time.)

Anyways, Hawk started talking about hitting situations and said when a batter is up 3-0 in the count and he swings at the next pitch, regardless of where it is, that the batter will walk more often that taking 3-0.

SOSO!

I am almost positive that's not true.

Of course, Soriano may not have been able to score on a bloop single down the right field line.

I think Soto could take him in a foot race right now.

He's at 950+ MLB PAs with an OBP of over .350. That's a good sample size.

I hate to admit it, too, though.

I'm more confident right now when Fukudome and Soto are coming up than Lee and Ramirez. This lineup right now has about 7 players who can hit 1-3.

He's in a bit of a cold spurt. Thank god, this lineup before couldn't take either one of Lee or A-Ram hitting last year, but now with so many role players playing so well they keep chugging along.

Its...*sniffle* just so damn beautiful
