What happened to Meph? I haven't seen him post in a while.

Banninated.

I'm going to kind of miss him come MLB draft time. The dude was a jerk, but he knew his stuff.

He was so high up his pedestal you couldn't see him through the clouds

Am I the only one who misses Meph? He was a jerk, but he was really a smart baseball fan, and if you could just ignore his arrogance he was a good read. I guess I'm just sad to see us lose the mind that figured out EQA.

An ability to understand statistics very well does not make one a smart baseball fan.

Quite honestly, I think he's ticketed to a life of trading for Goldman Sachs. He's got the arrogant attitude that investment banks love to have on their payrolls.

I think a lot of other people are just as bad to others on this board. A lot.

No.

I kind of miss him too

Ankiel just threw out Tavares at third to end the 1st inning. It was a frozen rope.

So he can throw strikes from the outfield, but not the pitcher's mound.

Makes perfect sense.

He's got the arrogant attitude that could make him a rogue trader that loses billions of dollars too.

God the Rockies suck. Willy Tavares just tried to tag and advance to 3rd on a flyout to center with 2 outs and got thrown out to end the inning. Neat.

Less cocaine now, I mean less time to think.

Yeah I said that he was going to try to throw his first baserunner out at the plate this year but hit the backstop on the fly just out of habit. I guess not.

Making the third out of the inning at third base is always good fun.

It goes a long way toward preventing one from being a dumb one, though.

Its an entirely separate set of skills. It may coincidentally help one be a better fan, but it has an equal likelihood of making said fan just as myopic as Hawk Harrelson, just for completely opposite reasons.

I'm amused with few RBI's Theriot has and how many Cedeno has when Theriot has so many more ABs

In fairness to Theriot he's been batting behind a pitcher and Soriano much of the season.

In this economy, most people simply shrug their shoulders at those kinds of things. Moreover, Kerviel wasn't alone over at SocGen.
