Ugh.

 

Hopefully the Cubs pitchers drink the water in St. Louis and turn into magical flukey pitchers. Maybe I'll put some more stuff here later. For now I'm going to go back into my GTA IV bubble and try to forget about this as long as possible.

It will be strange, almost sad seeing St Lou without Edmonds, Rolen, and Eckstein. I know Eck was only there for 3 years and Rolen for 4 or 5, but it's seemed like a lifetime. Then again, in the 3-5 years, we have an entirely different team as well.

 

That being said, after todays game, I wont be satisfied with anything short of a sweep.

Surprised the Cubs have hit Wainwright that well. He's a real good pitcher. I need some Cedeno in this game, but of course, Theriot has good numbers vs. Wainwright and had 3 hard hits yesterday, so that's not gonna happen, unless it's at the expense of Derosa. If Johnson is going to be in the lineup, he needs to hit at the top. His approach is a lot better near the top of the lineup than it has been whenever he's hit 8th. Pie needs to be in there anyway, but I don't know how likely that is.

I know Ronnys been great lately, but as long as Theriot keeps getting on base, Lous going to put him in. I just wish hed work on his base running.

 

On a similar note, werent they trying Cedeno out in center this Spring? Did it just not work out that well? Nothing against Pie, but Ronnys just a better baseball playerin every aspect of the game.

For some reason I feel like we're going to destroy the Cards this weekend.

 

 

I don't have that feeling. For some reason I was more confident for the Brewers series. Although, in the past couple of years we have played the Cards well.

Have we all calmed down? Can we look forward eagerly to the next game as a reasonable fanbase?

My only hope for this series is that the Cards continue their Cub-like suckage against lefties. Outside of that, I expect many losses this weekend simply because I'm going to 2 of the games.
