This is gonna make for an interesting competition. No complaints with that pick. I guess it's time to look at high upside linemen (both sides) and DBs, and at least one wideout. I'm not entirely comfortable with Hagan starting by default opposite Ginn.

I never got the impression that teams looked at what other teams were doing this much in the NFL draft. I don't remember this many runs on positions (OL, CB, WR) and this many trades because teams are so well in tuned to what other teams will do. Nor have I seen so many passing on a need because a run hasn't started on them yet. Very fun draft today.

I actually don't mind Jason Jones all that much. He can be a solid defensive tackle and we really need some depth there. He's yet another guy with a lot of potential, but will need time to develop.

 

He's not all that exciting because of the bust potential, but at least he fills some type of a need.

I'm curious to what Dallas will do. The receivers I liked are off the board. We could go with Doucet or Caldwell. Personally, I might go with a second RB and take Jamaal Charles.

Brennan, MAYBE. I think his delivery is messed up and he's too small.

 

But I never understood the view on Woodson as a good prospect. He's inaccurate and as soon as he's drafted he's going to have the slowest delivery in the NFL (is Leftwich still on a roster?). He's not very mobile either.

 

Woodson is a dreadful prospect.

Brennan, MAYBE. I think his delivery is messed up and he's too small.

The Colts must really like Mike Pollak. They basically don't take offensive linemen early in the draft, except at LT. However, the pick does make sense as the Colts draft to replace future holes, not current ones. Jeff Saturday is getting older and only has one year left on his deal. Pollak will be his replacement.

im liking the falcons options in round 3 tomorrow. We have 3 picks. I'm thinking we will get either Marcus Harrison, Pat Sims, Anthony Collins, or Carl Nicks with our first one. Hopefully, another one will slip down far enough for us to trade back up for him. I'm liking that we got an O-lineman, QB, and LB in our first three. Also, we could get Justin King or Reggie Smith at CB. There are plenty of options for tomorrow.
