Isn't Marquis getting $6.38 mil this year?

Yup.

I like how Soriano's still only hitting .200 against a guy he's homered 4 times off of. That's our guy.

Even if one expected Marquis to be good for the rest of April and May, I think that person would still think it would be likely that he wouldn't pitch well in this game. Not only is this a terrible matchup for him, but the one star player for the Phillies that Marquis has dominated (Rollins) isn't even playing.

I'm interested to see what Marquis does after this start. I think the true test to see if he can stay in the rotation will be to see if he can salvage a decent month by pitching well against the Pirates, Rockies, and Brewers. For this one, I'm just hoping he leaves before he gives up 5 or more. I honestly think that the best case reasonable scenario for this game is 6 innings, 4 runs, maybe 3 runs if some luck goes his way.

Since when does TBS carry a non-Braves game? And any word on who will be the broadcasters? I want to hear Chip Caray.

I have no idea. When I saw that TBS was doing the game tomorrow, I TRIPLE checked it before I posted that.

They had the NLDS last year if you remember. They're expanding their baseball coverage.

As of this year. TBS after carrying the playoffs last year has begun to cover Sunday day games nationally. Oh, if it's Chip were gonna here some screaming! " SWUNG ON BELTED" or the customary "LASER-BEAM" routine fly-out.

Yeah, there is no more Braves-only coverage on TBS, they busted out the Sunday national games this year, plus they get the ALCS.

I will be missing most of this one due to P.A. duties for baseball anyway, so don't suck too bad, Marquis.

I would post my customary how the hell are we thing but we're falling further behind so it may not be working.

I didn't expect Philadelphia to be such a pit, nor did I think it would be so full of pricks. Easily the worst visiting fan experience I've had so far (I haven't had the pleasure in StL). Win or lose, I'll be glad to be gone, but it sure would be nice to have something to cheer about, Cobs. Please at least hang around past the fourth inning.

Looks like Pie will be sitting once again.

What sucks, Moyer is the kind of lefty that Pie can get confidence hitting wise. I'm almost tempted to say to Piniella, give Soriano the "day off", and put Johnson in LF, Pie in CF, and Fukudome in RF.

I'm still amazed that you all STILL don't know that TBS is going national now with their MLB coverage. I believe the announcers will be Chip Caray and Buck Martinez. It will be nice to hear Chip call a Cubs game and have no bias against the Cubs. (for the first time since 2004)

You're starting to piss me off, Cubs. You don't want me to come down there and open up a can of whoop-ass on you.
