Wow, that makes all kinds of sense. Wait, no; reverse that. I can see why that would be recklessly assumptive, but am unclear on why that makes no sense. If they wanted to keep him around to make progress and they've milked him for that progress, then dumping him now, before the thing is actually built would completely negate the progress made. If you go to the actual post at Chicago Now Cubs Insider and not Cubbies Crib, you will see that there never was mention of Kenney being fired, just that he wouldn't remain Pres, well they brought in a new Pres, and gave Crane a BS co-presidency IMHO
