Meant to put this in with rule V post. Sorry, guys. DALLAS -- The Cubs may have left the Winter Meetings without filling the openings at first and third base or adding another starting pitcher, but general manager Jed Hoyer said Thursday he felt they got a lot accomplished. "We feel really good about where we are after this week," Hoyer said. "It's been a really productive week. A lot of this week is pushing things forward. "You always see a lot of things get done a day or two or even early next week after these Meetings, and we think that will be the case for us as well," he said. "We feel we've gotten things to a good place and, hopefully, some of those things come to fruition soon. Leaving here without a 'deal,' that's OK." http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20111208&content_id=26129064&vkey=news_mlb&c_id=mlb
