Last year, Marquis delivered a CGSO against the Pirates at a time when the Cubs bullpen was taxed.

And this year he has the flu, so...

Dear Fred,

Did you have a good view of Felix's deep foul ball? From my seat on the couch I could have sworn the ball passed behind the foul pole, making it a home run.

Thanks

Yeah, it clearly looked like a HR. Either way Felix got the GW hit.

We were sitting down the 3rd base line, not really the best view for that ball. We all thought it was fair, too.

I was listening on the radio. Was the TV replay inconclusive or something?

There was no doubt by anybody involved, Len, Felix, etc. They didn't do much of a replay, but when Laroche hit his homer (I think it was him) to RF, you could tell it landed much further to fair side of the pole.

The best part is this photo was probably taken in the third inning.

I miss that view. One of the best in baseball.

See you guys tomorrow!

I rewatched Pie's foul ball about twenty times, and while it looks like a homerun, the angle on the shot makes it very hard to tell.

And Alou caught that foul ball too.
