Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook will announce their intentions to enter the draft but not hire an agent this afternoon at 1.

Now Love can have games like he did against Memphis 82 times a year.

To me, Westbrook would be a perfect fit for the Bulls.

My fandom is extremely selfish so I think what would be perfect is the Bulls getting a Derrick Rose via a lottery pick and Russell Westbrook returning to UCLA and then going top 10 next year. :)

Why would NBA teams double Kevin Love?

They won't.

Love will have a very hard time playing everynight agianst players faster, quicker and more athletic than he is (like he did against Memphis). He's no Larry Bird.

I bet Kevin Love has a pretty good career and suprises a lot of people.

At least a few people in this thread, that's for sure.

I agree.

In fact, if we don't trade up to land Beasley or Rose, I wouldn't mind drafting Love. Really though, I don't care who we draft. It would be kind of hard to mess up the pick this year.

Love will have a difficult time defensively in the NBA. But he has all the tools (except hops) to score the ball offensively. Brad Miller has had a solid NBA career with 0 hops. Love is shorter, but much more athletic and has a much better offensive game. Zach Randolph is a lesser athlete than Love and has had a successful NBA career thus far. All in all, Love will be a good NBA player. Not a franchise player by any means, but he will have a 10-year career as a complementary player with a couple of AS game appearances.

Love isn't the most physical guy, but he's got a decent frame. Could he add more muscle? Of course. But I don't think he's as fat as his detractors say he is.

The Brad Miller comparison is a decent one. If I remember right, Miller really didn't start to develop a mid-range jumper until later in his career. Love already has a very effective mid-range jumper to compliment his game. He'll need some shoring up on defense, but I love his offensive game.

Yeah, he's like Miller in his prime. Miller didn't really come into his own until his time with the Bulls. He was one of the hardest working players around, to become a 2-time all star based on the skill set he showed at Purdue. Love is miles ahead of what Miller was at age 19, is more athletic, and like you said, already has a mid-range game. Plus, he won't have to face the big C's as Miller did. Love will face fellow 4's which has become a finesse position in a lot of senses (Gasol, Sheed, Dirk, etc)...will be a nice change of pace.

I love Westbrook's game and wouldn't mind seeing him in a Bulls uniform at all. Excellent slasher, decent handles, improving shot, lock down defender, and a great athlete. He reminds me of Monta Ellis a whole lot. Regardless, I think the Bulls have proven with this season that they lack a consistent guy who can get his own shot or create for others off the dribble (Gordon's too small).

Hopefully one of Westbrook, Mayo, Bayless, or Gordon will be available. I wouldn't mind trading up to nab one of those guys.

Hinrich is looking like an unmovable piece right now.

Lawson in with no agent. No decision from Ellington or Hansbrough.

What are Augustin's draft chances? If the Sonics end up with Beasley, I really hope Augustin falls to 24.

An Augustin/Durant/Beasley trio would look pretty sweet in OKC next year.

I would doubt Augustin makes it past the Pacers (unless, of course, the Pacers win the lottery).

Danny Green (UNC) in w/o an agent.

it just keeps getting better.

although he didn't have anything to lose.

i fully expect him back next year.

but if it stays this way, hansbrough is their only returning scoring threat

I'm hearing Collison (UCLA) is staying in school.

Confirmed. :D

How often do guys declare w/o an agent and actually return? I think Collison did it last year, but I can't think of many other big names (aside from Rush, whose return was injury driven) who return once they've left, regardless.
