That freaking sucks!

DeRosa needs to sure up that defense. This could be the second game his faulty glove causes us.

too bad lilly became a little girl and couldnt pitch with a huge lead

Ummm, that's not exactly the story line of the game. He wasn't good but the defense has been atrocious and the bullpen porous.

Lilly gave up 7 hits and 2 walks (with only one strikeout) in 3.2 IP.

No extra baserunners reached because of the defense... they advanced a bit more quickly, but they were on anyways. Lilly was pretty much terrible.

I believe it was 7-2 when Aramis threw wildly to 1B on what should have been the third out of the inning. The defensive lapses have been costly.

Everybody here seems to be forgetting who is going to be leading off the next inning for us.

Fukudome

DeRosa

Soto

Cedeno

P (Ward)

Soriano

Believe, folks.

Man even Lee's mojo is gone. What a disastrous game. If we want to win the division we have to lock up these winnable games. I know it sounds obvious, but its apparently not obvious for the Cubs.

i just went over to baseball reference and you know what i was shocked to find out? No team that has started the season 3-4 has EVER made the playoffs. In fact, back in 1898, the Indianapolis Browns lost four out of their first seven games and the entire team died of polio. If we dont win this, we might as well start the countdown for football season.

No crap? Did they have trolls back in 1898 too?

I think our offense is done for the day.

Pirates will win this one in regulation.

Wow, your glass has spilled!

My glass spilled permanently in the 2003 NLCS.

Nah we will score a few meaningless runs in the 9th after giving up a ton of runs in the 8th.

That and the walks. If you make 3 errors and walk 5 guys and counting you aren't going to win a lot of games.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

The games in April count every bit as much as the games in September. If we're a game out in Sept we can look back to this game as one of those games that should have been won.

Yup. Obviously we were able to recover from losing a bunch of winnable games last year, but then again we only won 85 games all season. It would be unlikely that 85 would win the division again, hence we should be winning the games where we take 7-0 leads.

Guys, guys, remember something.

We still have Fukudome due up!

You are starting to lean a little to heavy on Fukudome. The rest of the bats need to do more as well.

LOL at Pirates fans booing. They get back from a 7-0 deficit and you boo that they can't take the lead off a pretty damn good pitcher. Idiots.

All the other bats have to do is keep us close enough that Fukudome can win it for us.

It wasn't that wild of a throw. It was pretty standard given the play.

nice work for the slider specialist.

Please get a run for Marmol to lock it down.

But everyone was bitching that lou should have used Marmol in the 6th. Wow Maybe Lou knows a little about this game!

I was 3 then. Thankfully I don't remember that disaster.
