Sooooo, it's safe to say people here are o.k. w/ Fuku so far?

Aramis and Soriano should feel just guilty enough at this point to donate part of their weekly salaries to Fukudome.

His OPS tanked by 66% in a week. At that pace, he'll be down in Theriot territory by the end of the next homestand. Color me concerned.

Clever the way you're talking about 66% in your 6,666th post.

I don't know why. He's a baseclogger, he can't handle the heat, and I bet he doesn't fish. Trade him while he still has some value.

福留はBB神です。 彼は男性です。 私は、クラブに公介が意味する感謝します。 福留のデンゼル・ワシントンに対する関係はジェイクス・ジョーンズの意志ファレルに対する関係と同じです。

My appreciation of Kosuke Fukudome, in his native tongue.

公介、揺れ続けてください。

私は私が日本語を知っていたことを望む。

オンラインでフリーのtranslactionがあってウェブサイト.....それであなたが日本語で答えるために、日本人〔日本語〕を知らなければなりません。

公介規則....

Kosuke should officially be called, "Mr. Beisbol." I know it's lame, but he's definately so much better at baseball that Mr. "5 strikes and your out" Jack Elliot.

Which translated (by Babelfish) means:

Kousuke, please continue to shake.

FOO - KOO - DOH - MAY

clap - clap - clap clap clap

I didn't see a reference to this interesting tidbit:

Fukudome is hitting .458 after seven games with a .581 on-base percentage and .708 slugging percentage. He said through an interpreter that there were some things he was working on in spring training that he has yet to show in the regular season.

"It will be a secret until the end of the season," he said.

I had a sudden image of Kosuke turning around to bat RH against a LOOGY late in a tight game, ala Rocky II.

Maybe he has an identical twin, who has the exact same skill set, who wants to play CF?

I've seen a lot of fans wearing the Japanese headbands at the games... are they selling them outside of Wrigley? I'd like to pick one up when I'm there next week.

They're selling them all over th freaking place. I honestly think I see them more often than cubs hats at games. They're definitely on sale outside the park - but I think they may even have some in some of th booths/shops in wrigley. I know they're sold outside though.

Now the talk of him being a robot doesn't seem so ridiculous...and is actually a little terrifying.
