Jamarcus Ellis should have left with Sampson. Nice of him to quit on his team. Good riddance to Dakich, who can't coach to save his life. Sure Stemler was hitting his shot tonight, but he's a 0 factor on the boards. Taber shoulda played more. Would have loved to have Crawford and Gordon switch aggressiveness. Crawford has to be instant offense off the bench to be worth his time on the floor. Gordon coulda helped the team more by being a decoy and a selective penetrator. I'm bitter. Can't help it. 17-1 start to the season down the drain. Waste of 2 All Americans. Waste of my time.\

End rant.

7 for 50 from 3pt range. 14%

That's Eric Gordon since Sampson left. Have fun in the NBA.

Sampson must have stopped calling him with advice.

I must admit that while I fully expected this result it still bothers me because I tried to hold out hope for IU to play at least one last good game and get to Sunday.

But all things considered....thank god it's over. Go Butler, ND, Purdue, MSU and Wisconsin.

Yeah, I picked Arkansas in my bracket. Inconsistent teams with seniors beat inconsistent teams with less experience every time.

My first bracket is in really good shape in the 99.7th percentile on ESPN, but I took USC to the Elite 8 no other Sweet 16 teams gone. I also have all 4 games correct right now.

My other bracket is in the 98.2th percentile and is 23-5 only 1 Sweet 16 team gone so far, but I took Indiana.

This is my best year in recent memory.

You just jinxed yourself horribly.

no kidding

I made it into 99.9 percent then Clemson lost. Sweet 16 in the better one final four in the worse one

I'd call it a 70% chance that Gordon has surgery in the next month.

I think it's pretty clear he's hurting right now. I've thought surgery might be in his future for awhile.

I have no idea why anyone would've picked Indiana to win this game; they completely gave up on the season post-Sampson. Still, the effort was a little better tonight. Hats off to DJ White, who deserved so, so much better during his IU career. Good luck in the NBA, DJ, we'll miss you.

The collapse wasn't Dakich's fault, it was all on Sampson. Dakich inherited an unenviable situation and did his best to help out his alma mater. The players just quit on him (yes, it's a coaches job to motivate players, but it's kind of hard when you have but a handful of games to do so). However, I'm not exactly sure why IU thought Deandre Thomas was a go-to post player in the first half, they did a better job getting him the ball than they ever do getting DJ White the ball.

IU has been trading off it's legacy for some time now. While there's still some left to mortgage, they really, really need to get this hire right. I don't believe they will, however. From everything I hear, they are obsessed with getting a big name coach. I find this myopic and also worry what their idea of a big name coach is.

Because the SEC sucks was my reason.

Oh, I agree. The SEC is terrible. But IU was coming off losses to Penn State and Minnesota. IU didn't even care if they won, they just wanted the season over.

Gosh, that's depressing.

Of the millions of brackets that were filled out I wonder if any one person still has a perfect bracket after today.

The best record on ESPN.com is 30-2 and only 50 people have that.

26/32 (got all the 5/12 games and all the 8/9 games right, which has to be the first time in my life that's happened), but 3 Sweet 16 teams gone. I should've picked Nova to the 16 instead of Vandy.

If AJ Price hadn't gotten hurt, the Big East would probably have gone 8-0 in the 1st round. Too bad for UConn.

So far I'm doing well - I only missed four games in the first round, and Clemson is my only Sweet 16 team gone. What bothers me is that two of my misses - Texas A&M and USC - I reneged on in my later bracket, and just forgot to change in this one before the tourney started.

There's no way I do well in the long run, though. My final four is three 1 seeds and a 2 seed. Even if it happens, there'll be a ton of people who have picked the same thing. Also, I have UNC winning the whole thing. Which, again, is highly unlikely - in my bracket they have to go through Kansas and UCLA to do so, both of which are probably better teams than UNC.

Crap.

I totally forgot that I filled out a bracket for the NSBB group. Well after quickly checking that, I got 29 out of the 32 games right. I am winning by 3 games so far.

Well I went 15-1 on Day 1 and 8-8 on Day 2. But overall I still have 14/16 of my Sweet 16 teams intact and all of my Elite 8 teams remaining. So I still feel pretty good.

Still only missing two sweet 16 teams. Was going to take Villanova, too, but I had already taken Siena and I thought two lower seeds winning at the same location was a real long shot.

Are you in a different group than I am? Because I'm tied for dead last in the nsbb group with 19 out of 32.

I have not picked 2 8/9 games right in 8 years. This year, I managed to miss all 4 of them.
