I am officially done... for now.

Once those auctions start up for the seats directly behind home plate though, I'll be buying a couple of those. Those were the best seats I ever had... it really was a religious experience.

I hope to get through on those as well. I'd like to get a pair of those for one of the games I already plan to attend.

Absolutely make sure that you do. Words don't even begin to describe it.

I've sat there before in 2006. AWESOME!

Well I think I got all the tix I wanted for Cubs home games this year. Thanks for the tips in this thread!

Anyone have tips for Cubs/Brewers tomorrow? If IIRC, last year the Brewers system was smarter -- it wouldn't let you just open more than one window to the same lobby. That really sucked, I wound up way more stressed trying to get Brewer tix than I did Cub tix. Hoping someone knows how to ease the pain.

yea, you can get through pretty easily now...i just can't buy any weekday games this far out.

I can't get through anymore. I have twenty tabs open, too. But my Internet died about 30 minutes ago so I had to restart everything. I prolly lost my place in the queue.

It's random.

Pretty late in the process (a hour and a half in or so), I realized I hadnt gotten tickets to the first brewers series...got 4/30 tickets for 4th row in section 122. Only 58 bucks a piece. Those are awesome seats, nearly as good as those auction seats.

Brian Roberts is guaranteed to be in one dugout in that game.

Right now you can get in really easy. I tried a test to see what I could get if I waited till now. I could have gotten bleachers for all but one game. That one game I still could have gotten good seats. I wonder if I should have saved my vacation hours. Well it's a tradition with me so I must keep it up. You can still get good seats for most games right now.

Sometimes it's fun to bum around the ballpark solo for a day. I buy for a group though, I'm finding the Brewers are even tougher now than the Cubs because their system is worse (at least, it was last year).

I was hoping to nab some Sox bleacher seats to fund my baseball trips like the past two years, but wasn't able to. Still came away pretty happy. I got...

Section 22, Row 4 -- 4/17 against the Reds

Section 403 -- 6/22 against the Sox, that will be sold

Bleachers for 7/13 (my bday) against the Giants

Bleachers for the final home game against the Cards

Hopefully I'm very lucky next weekend when Cards tickets go on sale, as I plan on going to as many here as possible.

if i lived in the area it'd be a different story...i'd bum around wrigley by my lonesome all of the time...going to chicago is basically a vacation for me, so when i go the g/f and others want to go with.

the only game i really wanted was aug. 2nd, my bday....i got in fairly quickly and it seemed the best i could do was behind a pole, then it booted me and i never got back in until all that was left were upper deck outfield seats...i want to be a little closer to the action.

A game against the Pirates was tough to get tickets for? That's surprising.

Yeah, I scored upper deck right @ 3B for the Cards game 9/20. I'm praying we're in the race and the place is a nuthouse.

Any advice for people putting extras on Ebay? I want to maximize return and am unsure as to when to put them up to do that.

Note: I'll sell these four 4/30 bleachers vs Milwaukee for 50 a pop now if someone on the board wants them, failing that I'll go the Ebay route.

The ebay route can be tricky. I'd wait assuming you can afford to pay off the CC or assuming that you have one with a low interest rate. But the longer you wait, the more it's going to cost you in interest, so it might be better to unload now. When selling on Ebay, keep in mind how much ebay is going to charge and the take paypal will get.

Well, I used a debit card so I have no interest to worry about...I was just curious if I'd be better off pulling the trigger now or waiting until April. I sort of went in between last year with my extras and I feel like I could've gotten more by doing one or the other.

Yeah, figure that you'll lose 6-7% in eBay and PayPal fees combined. Maybe a little more if you use Buy It Now.

Just throwing this out there...

I'd be willing to trade my 2 tickets to the Cubs-Sox Sunday game for Cubs-Cards tickets. If anyone's interested, let me know and we'll see if we can work something out.
