Is anyone going to try for the Dugout, Bullpen, or Bleacher Box tickets today?

I think I'm going to give it a go. Are these seats available for every game or are they for selected games?

Should be every game. This is the first year they're not doing a lottery, though.

Is there a VWR?

I don't even see a link yet on the Cubs website.

I'm trying to figure out the same thing myself. Thought i was just blind.

I would assume they'll use a VWR, but I don't believe the press release actually said that they would.

It says they will use a VWR starting at 9:30 in the original press release back in February but nothing is setup so far.

Yeah, you're right. Not sure how I missed that.

Picked up a couple dugout box seats to the 2nd home game. Would row B = the second row (please please please)?

Yeah, they're second row.

Some random ticket tidbits:

AP[/url]"]The Chicago Cubs have sold more than 2,775,000 tickets and had just 500,000 remaining at the start of the week. The Red Sox capped full season equivalents at just under 22,000 at Fenway Park, where capacity is 37,400 at night and 36,984 during the day. And Major League Baseball says the sale of season-ticket equivalents is up 4 percent.

.................

According to the Consumer Price Index, $4 in 1972 is about $20 now -- meaning even when adjusted for inflation, there's been a 12-fold increase for the best box seats. [note: referring only to the Yankees, I believe]

.................

This season, clubs also must contend with StubHub. Twenty-nine clubs -- all but the Red Sox -- have agreed to make the Web site their official resale outlet. As of Tuesday, 434,000 Yankees home tickets were available on the Web site, including more than 6,000 for some games.

Bob Bowman, chief executive officer of Major League Baseball Advanced Media, said 400,000 tickets already have changed hands on StubHub, where buyers pay a 10 percent fee and sellers are charged a 15 percent commission.

The Washington Nationals, who move into a new ballpark, had 2.7 percent of their seats available on StubHub this week. For the Chicago Cubs, 6.8 percent of Wrigley Field's tickets are on the Web site. For Dodger Stadium, it's 3 percent.

does anyone have any ideas about when tickets will be mailed out? iirc, they usually get sent around mid-march, does anyone know?

I think they started mailing them out Friday, but if your game is later in the season, it could take awhile. I remember one year it was into April before I received all of mine.

Stub Hub prices in far too much mark-up for it to be an effective market place. They take a 25% stake out of each ticket sold through the site.

Take a look at the amount of supply on StubHub, and just how little of it is moving. Perhaps the demand hasn't kicked in just yet, but we're approaching opening day and very little supply is changing hands, even for the early games that are almost on us.

Got 4 tickets upper deck, pretty much right behind home plate for 35$ each off of stubhub for April 19th vs. Pitt.

Also got two tickets for the first Cubs/Sox game, 70 each upper deck along the first base line.

Personally, I really enjoy the upper deck seating. You get a view of the entire stadium and Wrigley is relatively small so you're not that far away from the action. I'd rather be in upper deck than in the rows under the upper deck all the way back. StubHub was pretty good, though it sucks that after you pay their commission and shipping and handling it ends up being an extra 25 bucks.
