  1. If anyone is interested, they can arrange for pickup before the game at Wrigley, or any time at their convenience in wrigleyville. Cubs v Padres 5/14 Section 224 Row 23 Please mention the forum, because they're listed elsewhere for higher. incrediculous@gmail.com
  2. Just sold them for half of face value outside Wrigley. More ticket hawkers than there are fans out there. And they have a ton of tickets. I just checked on cubs.com, and you can get $70 seats in the 4th row at this very minute. I'm not sure what is going on with the supply of tickets to this game, but it seems like they keep releasing more every day. And nobody really intended to go to this game anyway.
  3. If anybody wants them. Under face value. Pick up just 3 blocks from Wrigley, from 11:30-Noon before game. *Contact info Removed*
  4. Stub Hub prices in far too much mark-up for it to be an effective market place. They take a 25% stake out of each ticket sold through the site. Take a look at the amount of supply on StubHub, and just how little of it is moving. Perhaps the demand hasn't kicked in just yet, but we're approaching opening day and very little supply is changing hands, even for the early games that are almost on us.
  5. Hamilton Happy with the Rangers March 23, 2008 Scouts in Arizona are singing the praises of Rangers center fielder Josh Hamilton, who could be positioned for a monster season. Hamilton, acquired from the Reds for young starter Edinson Volquez, entered the weekend hitting .556 with a 1.572 OPS. He reached base in 13 consecutive plate appearances (10 hits, three walks) at one point. Hamilton, who revived his career after drug-abuse problems, credits his hitting to his new teammates for making him feel comfortable. Hamilton says none of his professional teammates had ever invited him to join them for meals before this spring. He has been a frequent visitor to Ian Kinsler's apartment to watch TV and play video games. "It's all I've ever wanted," Hamilton said. "And I've found it to be that way with all the guys. They've been receptive and treated me as an equal."
  6. And despite the documentary feel of the show, the show doesn't feel like a documentary.
  7. Anyone had luck selling on StubHub? Or is Ebay the way to go? I got 4 to Memorial Day but only anticipate that I'll need 2.
  8. I can't get through anymore. I have twenty tabs open, too. But my Internet died about 30 minutes ago so I had to restart everything. I prolly lost my place in the queue.
  9. You're right. It is part gun problem, the problem being that we legislated into existence defenseless soft-target areas that appeal to the psychological power-trips of unstable individuals. Remove the power disparity by allowing responsible, trained individuals to defend themselves with concealed handguns, and you've removed the opportunity that causes situations like this. The concealed carry program has been very successful. You should look into it. I think you'd find that it's a very effective policy, in an age when policy rarely is. /Texas Democrat Loser
  10. Allow those who have reason to grieve, room to grieve. Doing anything more would be trivial and insincere.
  11. i just started at 11 and got 4 seats (granted they are in the pole sections) to memorial day.

  13. He's a business-of-baseball guy more than most people realize. He owns the Corpus Christi Hooks and the Round Rock Express, one of the most successful minor league teams in the country. He knows what he's doing.
  14. http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/unfairpark/2008/02/not_juan_gone_after_all.php Without 'roids, he's nothing. St Louis obviously didn't read the Mitchel Report. What are they thinking?
  15. We've already determined that you can't just "choose" to be a die-hard anything. But the Cubs' history is partly what makes it possible for me to pull for them this year as a Chicagoan. If the Cubs were perennial championship winners, I feel like I'd be a band wagoner doing that.
