Well, it appears the Vikes are close to dealing their 1st and 3rd round picks this year and their 2nd round pick next year to the Chiefs for Jared Allen.

Allen's a real good player, but I doubt he's worth that much.

That's a king's ransom.

Also, in other news, I heard the Bengals turned down an offer of two first round picks for Ocho Cinco. Not a good move on their part methinks.

Was it Dallas?

It was actually Washington - and I've later heard it was a conditional third round pick that could become a first rounder plus another first.

Also, do we give Philly the King, or give Truffle longer?

sorry guys, i have been traveling the past few days and not visiting the site unless PM'ed, and i didn't get a PM that it was my turn to pick.

Sorry Truffle, didn't realize you weren't PM'd. We need to make sure to do that after each pick.

You cool with King Dunlap?

My bad Truffle, I thought I had PMed you.

Might be a bit of a reach here, but the Cardinals need a lot of help at LB (as well as almost everywhere on defense). Since they already picked Jenkins in the first round to help solidify the secondary, the Cardinals select Xavier Adibi out of Virginia Tech in the second round.

Enjoy him getting seriously overmatched by bigger receivers.

That's what they said about Ronde.

This was a really tough pick given the Steelers needs of a DE, depth at CB, and a banger to go with Fast Willie. However, the OL really needs rebuilt. So even though I took a RT in Round 1, the Pittsburgh Steelers select...

Chilo Rahal, OG, Southern California, 6-5 315

That's the day I knew Hardy would be a 1st round pick. King was on him all day, and Hardy really abused him.

Hey dew, the Titans could use some depth at DE. Maybe Lawrence Jackson if you're feeling it.

Nice one PriorPower! I've actually had him targeted since Quentin Groves went off the board.

The Titans have needs at DE, G, DT, CB and another offensive playmaker. The depth at guard is still strong (I like Greco, McGlynn and Eric Young) as well as DT. There are offensive playmakers that'll last til the third round (Brad Cottam from Tennessee for instance, who I'd love) and corner is a need, but not that big.

Thus, with the 24th pick of the second round of the 2008 NFL draft, the Titans select:

defensive end, University of Southern California, Lawrence Jackson

Jackson will fit nicely in a platoon-type system with Jevon Kearse across from Vanden Bosch and ultimately (hopefully) take over as the starter of the future once Kearse wears down.

This is a great place to get a talent like Jackson, as I see him as likely an early second/perhaps late first round pick according to talent.

mhuber and the Seahawks are now on the clock. I'll PM him now.

If Saturday turns out this way for the Titans - James Hardy in round 1 and Lawrence Jackson in round 2 - I'll absolutely be turning backflips.

Add on a Brad Cottam or Fred Davis in the third round and this team looks a lot stronger next season. I also wouldn't mind them taking a look at Dre Moore in the second or third round at DT.

20 (51) Washington Redskins -- Handlebar McSkullet - Reche Caldwell, WR, Florida

Andre Caldwell is the Florida receiver in this draft, not Reche.

So who was the mod who edited my post and put the wrong name in there to make me look like an idiot? :x

I certainly know who Andre Caldwell is, he was one of my best WRs in fantasy last year (besides the two UC Berkeley WR - Hawkins and Jackson).

Not blaming you Raisin, just pointing it out. :D

Though I wouldn't mind seeing a mod fight...

It's been nearly 18 hours and this thread was on the second page. I don't know what the Seahawks need, anyone have suggestions? Let's keep this thing moving and finish two rounds before the draft starts on Saturday
