Raiders surprised me. I don't think they can pass on one of the 2 DL on the board (Ellis, Gholston). Clady is probably an overdraft at #4 for a team without a complete desperate need (KC at 5 would not apply, because OL is by far their biggest need). If I'm the Raiders, I flip a coin on the DL-men and gamble that Williams or Baker will be there in the 2nd.

 

That's true about Oakland.

 

Fwiw, I would've taken Ellis over Clady despite KC needing OL badly, he was too much of a reach at #5.

It was going to be one of the two (OL or DL, I mean). I went with O-Line because I felt like that was the more pressing need. In all honesty, I'd be fine if they took either of the two, just so long as they don't take McFadden. I don't really have to worry about other positions because they're either filled (like QB) or there is nobody good enough to be drafted that high (like a WR).

Me too, but that's because I think Ellis is going to be an elite DT right off the bat. I wouldn't fault KC for picking either way though.

Mendenhall makes a lot of sense for Carolina. I have a hard time seeing them pick anyone else.

Detroit Lions.

The Lions have a ton of holes and they could go LT/RT, RB or DE here. Mendenhall is gone. Dewayne White now is the RDE(Kalimba Edwards gone) and he doesnt scream the pass rushing defensive end the Tampa 2 needs. With the lack of DE playmakers on this crappy patchwork team i think this is a pretty easy pick.

Cardinals have a lot of tools to succeed on offense. On the defensive side? Not so much. This is a real easy pick.
