I'm not sure I'd have done what with the season Slaton just had.

 

I agree but he's kind of beat up and I'm sure he doesn't want to take a chance to get hurt even more.

 

plus devine would probably start next year anyway

 

Yea, at the end of the season Devine was definitely outproducing Slaton.

yes but devine is a change of pace guy.... there's no way that he can carry the burden that slaton did.

If the Bears could scoop up Felix or Mendenhall (hah) in the second round, that'd be stellar. But that's talk for WCF.

I hope they don't go QB, I'm really not enamored by any of them enough for the cap hit. I'd prefer one of the OTs or a play-maker on defense (Philips)

Xavier Lee is no longer a part of the FSU program is preparing for the combine. He was asked to move to TE and refused. Here is a comment from his dad which is even funnier than X's decision.

 

"Can't blame him, man," Willie Lee said of his son's decision to leave school, according to the Sentinel. "What else is he going to do -- sit around there and watch other kids go ahead of him?"

 

Just because you are 5 star college recruit doesnt mean you are highly regarded by the NFL.

I said this on WCF, but Kiper has Erik Ainge in the 2nd round...if he lasts long enough for the Bears to take him there, I'd be fine with that. Then we can look at someone like Ryan Clady if he lasts long enough in the first round.

I changed the topic because I wanted to post mock drafts and such... :P

They have the Bears taking Woodson in the first round. They don't have the 2nd and 3rd rounds posted yet, but they seem to think the Bears need to use the first pick on a QB...FWIW.

 

I especially like the part where the Jets draft a RB with Thomas Jones on the team. Oh the irony.

Felix has Cowboys written all over him. Be the HR back to go along with Marion Barber 3.

 

Bears will NOT draft a QB in the 1st round. I think they will go OT, unless Phillips is there (which is not likely considering Denver and Carolina could use a safety and pick before the Bears)...or an outside shot of a WR like Malcolm Kelly.

That mock draft doesn't even have the correct order of draftees, as the Bears draft 14th, not 12th.

 

If they reach on a QB in the first round with all the other more important holes they need to address, it'll be a catastrophe.

I would be good with that. I have been wanting to dump J. Jones all season. Not to mention a semi-man crush on Barber, he is a freaking beast.
